The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status of multi-generation integrated culture and arts education programs, and to suggest improvement measures through a semantic analysis of the program. As an example for this, we selected ‘Elderly Autobiography by Young People - Generational Sympathy’. The study was a qualitative case study, which conducted literature research, field observation, and in-depth interviews with program planners, participants, and experts. The research results are as follows. First, each generation participating in the program should be able to have an agency as creators. Second, follow-up programs which offer various cultural and artistic genres, or community space should be provided to participants to foster natural meeting points for connection. Third, the role of artists in the program should be expanded to allow participants to engage as active participants in the artistic experience, rather than simply as passive recipients of technical arts education.

본 연구는 문화예술교육적 측면을 고려하여 다(多)세대 통합 문화예술교육 프로그 램의 현황을 확인하고 의미 분석을 통해 개선 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 사례로는 성북구 청년문간 사회적협동조합의 ‘청년이 써가는 어르신 자서전-세대공 감 잇다’를 선택하고, 문헌 연구 및 현장 관찰과 함께 프로그램 기획자와 참여자, 전문 가 대상의 심층 인터뷰를 병행하였다. 연구 결과로 도출한 다(多)세대 통합 문화예술교육 프로그램의 개선 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로그램에 참여하는 각 세대가 모두 창작의 주체로서 주체성을 가질 수 있도록 하여야 한다. 둘째, 프로그램 참여자들이 다양한 문화예술 장르를 경험할 수 있 는 후속 프로그램 연계 또는 커뮤니티 공간 제공 등 다(多)세대가 자연스럽게 교류할 수 있는 후속 조치가 필요하다. 셋째, 참여자 모두가 수동적·기능적인 예술 교육의 대 상이 아니라 예술 경험의 주체로서 문화예술을 경험할 수 있도록, 프로그램의 운영 및 진행에 있어 예술가의 역할을 보다 확장해야 한다.
