Installation art emphasizes the interaction between space and audience as well as the form of individual works, and promotes relationships through this. In particular, Boyce's <7000 Oaks>, Gonzalez-Torres' series, Kang Ik-joong's , and Foreman's each induce participation through different forms and themes and are completed through audience intervention. These works clearly demonstrate the importance of participatory education by providing opportunities for students to voluntarily participate and express their own ideas in art education. It was confirmed that the unique aesthetic experience provided by participatory installation art can comprehensively develop students' creativity through enhanced problem-solving skills, increased self-understanding, and community resilience through increased diversity and cultural understanding. As a result, it was confirmed that participatory installation art education can achieve the educational goals required in the areas of aesthetic experience and expression, namely, fostering creativity and aesthetic sensibility through the process of handling various media, and strengthening the capacity of the art curriculum, which aims for holistic education that reflects on the meaning and value of oneself and the world through artistic achievement and living together with others and the environment surrounding oneself.

설치미술은 개별 작품의 형태와 더불어 공간, 관객과의 상호작용을 중요시하며, 이를 통해 관계성을 촉진한다. 특히 보이스의 <7000그루의 참나무>, 곤잘레스 토레스의 <사탕> 연작, 강익중의 <해피 월드> 연작, 포어만의 <디스패치 워크>는 각기 다른 형식과 주제로 관객의 참여를 유도하며 그 참여로 써 작품이 완성된다. 이러한 작품들은 미술교육에서 학생들이 자발적으로 참여하고 자신의 아이디어 를 표현할 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써 참여 중심 교육의 중요성을 명확히 보여줌을 확인한다. 참여 중심 설치미술이 제공하는 독특한 미적 경험을 통해 학생들이 창의성 증진을 통한 문제 해결력 향상, 자기 이해 증진, 다양성과 문화적 이해 증진을 통한 공동체성 회복력 등을 포괄적으로 발전시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 그 결과 참여 중심 설치미술 교육은 미적 체험과 표현 영역에서 요구하는 교육 목표 즉 다양한 매체를 다루는 과정을 통해 창의성과 미적 감수성을 기르고, 예술적 성취를 통해 세계 속에서 자신의 의미와 가치를 성찰하고 타인과 자신을 둘러싼 환경과 더불어 살아갈 수 있도록 전인적 교육을 지향하는 미술 교과의 역량 강화 목표를 달성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
