This study aims to determine whether pre-service primary school teachers’ human rights judgment is related to their experience in taking human rights education at universities. The subjects of the study were 277 university students in the third grade or higher who have taken human rights education courses at primary school teachers’ training universities such as universities of education. Statistical analysis was conducted on the data surveyed on them. The independent variables were ‘gender’, ‘understanding student human rights documents’, ‘recognition of the degree of respect for human rights in Korean society’, ‘the degree to which human rights education courses are taken at universities where they are attending school’, and ‘evaluation of human rights education courses in universities’. The dependent variable was determined as human rights judgment(human rights judgment on daily situations, human rights judgment on the student guidance situations). The results of the data analysis are as follows. First, it was found that the degree to which pre-service primary school teachers took human rights education courses at universities did not affect their human rights judgment on daily situations. Second, it was found that the degree to which pre-primary school teachers took human rights education courses at universities had a positive effect on their human rights judgment on the student guidance situation. Considering the research results, it is necessary to provide various courses related to human rights education at primary school teacher’ training universities so that prospective primary school teachers can cultivate student human rights-related competencies.

이 연구는 예비 초등교사의 인권판단에 초등교사 양성기관 재학 중 인권교육 강좌 수강 경험이 관련이 있는지를 파악하려는 것이다. 교육대학교 등 초등교사 양성기관에서의 인권교육 강좌 수강 경험이 있는 3학년 이상 재학생 277명을 대상으로 조사한 자료를 활용하여 통계분석하였다. 독립 변인은 재학 대학에서 인권교육 강좌 수강 경험 정도, 재학 대학의 인권교육 강좌에 대한 평가로 설정하였다. 종속변인은 인권판단(일상 상황에 대한 인권판단, 학생생활지도 인권 상황에 대한 인 권판단)으로 설정하였다. 또한 선행연구 결과를 고려하여 성별, 학생인권 문서 이해, 한국사회의 인 권 존중 정도에 대한 인식 등은 통제변인으로 설정하였다. 자료 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예 비 초등교사의 인권교육 강좌 수강 경험 정도는 일상 상황에 대한 인권판단에 통계적으로 유의미 한 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비 초등교사의 인권교육 강좌 수강 경험 정도는 학 생생활지도 상황에 대한 인권판단에는 정(+)적인 측면에서 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 고려하면, 예비 초등교사가 학생인권 관련 역량을 함양하도록 초등교사 양성기관에서 인권교육 관련한 다양한 강좌를 개설할 필요가 있다.
