Objectives This study examined the major issues that arose in interpreting the 2022 revised physical education curriculum and explored ways to implement the curriculum in school settings. Methods For this purpose, the curriculum draft development study report, overseas curriculum, and previous studies were analyzed and used as materials to interpret the 2022 revised P.E. curriculum. Results The main issues that arose in interpreting the sports area were divided into five categories: understanding and teaching basic movement skills, understanding and teaching movement elements, differentiation of movement skill teaching in sports and expression, how to understand and teach values and attitudes, and how to manage physical education classes using digital technology. Conclusions Finally, we discussed the interpretation and implementation of the curriculum at the teacher level and suggested the direction of enhancing the professionalism of curriculum implementation.

본 연구에서는 2022 개정 체육과 교육과정을 해석하면서 발생하였던 주요 이슈에 대하여 살펴보고, 학교 현장에서 교육과정을 실행할 수 있는 방안에 대하여 탐색하였다. 이를 위하여 교육과정 시안 개발 연구 보고서, 국외 교육과정 및 선행연구를 분석하고, 2022 개정 체육과 교육과정을 해석하기 위한 자료 로 활용하였다. 특히, 이번 교육과정에서 새롭게 등장한 스포츠 영역을 해석하며 발생한 주요 이슈에 대 하여 ‘기본 움직임 기술에 대한 이해와 지도 방법’, ‘움직임 요소에 대한 이해와 지도 방법’, ‘표 현 영역에서의 움직임 기술 지도와의 차별성’, ‘가치‧태도 범주의 이해와 지도 방법’, ‘디지털 기술 을 활용한 체육수업 운영 방안’의 다섯 가지로 구분하여 주제별 이슈에 대하여 해석하고, 학교에서 학 생들을 지도하기 위한 구체적인 지도 내용과 방법에 대한 아이디어를 제시하였다. 이를 통해 교사 수준 의 교육과정 해석과 실행에 대하여 논의하고 교육과정 실행 전문성 제고의 방향에 대하여 제언하였다.
