This study focuses on proposing a role model for the second life of retired missionaries as debriefers. Self-reflective debriefing based on Schema Therapy aims to help individuals recognize that current psychological difficulties are linked to past experiences, originating in childhood and recurring throughout their lives, and to transform these into healthy coping mechanisms. The role of a retired missionary as a debriefer involves sharing testimonies of recovery by recognizing and understanding the roots of their life traps, thereby comforting local missionaries (debriefies) facing psychological hardships. Although this study has the limitation of not verifying the effectiveness of training retired missionaries as debriefers, it is expected to open new horizons for their reeducation and new ministries, and to promote the need for and understanding of debriefing development research.

본 연구는 은퇴 선교사의 두 번째 인생, 디브리퍼로서의 역할 모델에 관한 제안에 초점을 두고 있다. 심리도식치료 이론에 근거한 자기성찰 디 브리핑1)은 현재 경험하는 심리적 어려움이 과거의 경험과 연결되어 있으 며 어린 시절에 시작되어 일생 동안 반복되는 패턴임을 성찰하도록 도와 건강한 대처 양식으로 변화시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 은퇴 선교사의 디 브리퍼 역할은 자신의 삶의 덫을 인식하고 근원을 이해한 회복의 간증을 나누며, 현지 선교사(디브리피)의 심리적 고충을 위로하는 자가 되는 것이 다. 본 연구는 디브리퍼 양성교육을 통한 은퇴선교사의 활동의 효과성을 검증하지 못한 한계점이 있으나 은퇴 선교사의 재교육과 디브리퍼로서의 새로운 사역의 지평을 열어 디브리핑 개발에 대한 연구의 필요성과 이해를 증진시키는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
