This paper is a study to reduce the error of understanding Taiwan strait (cross-strait) relations between China and Taiwan as understanding inter-Korean issues on the Korean Peninsula. In other words, the purpose of this study is to search the changes and status of cross-strait relations, and each society, government, political phenomena and citizens on both sides of the strait. And analyze the characteristics and differences of both sides of the Strait. In other words, the purpose is to research what similarities and differences the two sides have, what advantages there are for exchange, and what kind of the international environment is like on both sides. As a way to understand the current status of cross-strait relations, I tried to made a comparison to watch what the differences in social environments, culture background, and citizens’ consciousness are across the strait Taiwan Strait at the time of Taiwan’s presidential election in 2024. The purpose of this study is to find the changes and characteristics of societies across the strait by examining similarities and differences in relation to politics, economy, society, and culture. The goal of this study is to understand cross-strait relations by looking into what is the same and what is different, and what kinds of differs from the inter-Korean relations on the Korean Peninsula.

본 논문은 한반도 남북한문제를 이해하는 것 같이, 양안 관계를 분석하는 이해의 차이를 줄 이기 위한 연구이다. 즉, 양안 관계의 변화와 현황을 이해하면서 양안 사회와 정부 그리고 정치 제도와 시민사회를 중심으로 양안 두 지역의 특징과 차이점을 알아보는 것이 연구의 목적이다. 즉, 두 지역이 역사적 변화 속에 어떠한 유사점과 차이점을 갖게 되었으며 현재는 어떠한지 그 리고 이런 차이가 양안에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 양안이 처한 국제환경은 어떠한지 알아보는 것 을 주요 내용으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 양안관계의 현황을 이해하기 위해 과거 역사를 살펴보 고, 2024년 대만 총통 선거를 분석 시점으로 하여 양안 사회환경, 문화, 그리고 시민들의 의식 차이가 무엇인지를 비교하였다. 연구의 목적은 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화 관련 분단지역이 시간이 지남에 따라 나타나는 유사 한 점과 차이점을 알아보며 중화권 분단지역인 양안 사회의 변화와 특징을 찾아내는 것이다. 그리고 양안 두 지역이 무엇이 유사하며 무엇이 다른지 알아보며 양안 관계 현황이 한반도의 남북한 관계와 무엇이 다른지 알아보는 것을 연구의 최종 목적으로 하였다.
