This paper examines the format and edition of Lanzhumeijupu(蘭竹梅菊譜, 1701), the second volume of Jieziyuanhuazhuan(芥子園畵傳), which occupies an important position in the history of East Asian painting. Especially it focuses on jupu(菊譜, Chrysanthemum painting manual) and examines its content and characteristics. I investigate the establishment and development of jupu in the tradition of the Four Gentlemen painting manual. And after reviewing the overall contents of the second volume of Jieziyuanhuazhuan, the nature and meaning of jupu are analyzed. An examination of jupu, which developed later than the other Four Gentlemen painting manual, enhances understanding of jupu itself. It also has important significance in understanding the process of formation and establishment of the Four Gentlemen painting manual. I look into the publication process and format of jupu, focusing on the Japanese Daitokyu commemorative bookstore and the Chinese National Library versions. The Jinling Wenguangtang version, which was an imitation of the Jinchang Shuyetang version, and the Jieziyuan reprint version are examined together. As Wang qi(王耆) stated, jupu is mainly a chrysanthemum painting manual, secondary botanical information and illustrations about chrysanthemum is provided. The methods of drawing chrysanthemums and the illustrations included in Gujinzhumingrentuhua(古 今諸名人圖畵) have a deep affinity with the works of Chen Chun, late Ming painters who followed him, and Yun Shouping. Additionally, new forms of chrysanthemums, green chrysanthemums, and unique chrysanthemums are not fictitious pictorial images, but are visualizations of actual chrysanthemums.

이 논문은 동아시아 회화사에서 중요한 위치를 차지하는 『개자원화전 (芥子園畵傳)』 2집 ｢난죽매국보(蘭竹梅菊譜)｣(1701)의 체재와 판본을 살 피고, ｢국보(菊譜)｣에 초점을 두어 그 내용과 성격을 고찰한 것이다. 사 군자 화보의 전통 속에서 국화 화보(畵譜)의 성립과 전개를 검토하고, 『개자원화전』 2집의 전반적인 내용을 살핀 뒤 ｢국보｣의 성격과 의미를 분 석하였다. 매화, 대나무, 난에 비해 뒤늦게 발전한 국화 화보의 고찰은 국보 자체에 대한 이해를 높일 뿐 아니라 사군자 화보의 형성과 정립 과정을 이해하는 데도 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 본고에서는 일본 다이토 큐(大東急) 기념문고본과 중국 국가도서관본을 중심으로 화보의 출판 경 위와 체재를 살폈으며, 금창(金閶) 서업당(書業堂)본을 모각한 금릉(金陵) 문광당(文光堂)본과 개자원 중각본(重刻本)을 함께 검토하였다. 밑그림을 첨삭(添削)한 왕기(王耆)가 밝힌 것처럼 ｢국보｣는 화보(畵譜)이면서 화보 (花譜)를 보완하는 성격을 띤다. 국화꽃을 그리는 법식과 <고금제명인도 화(古今諸名人圖畵)>에 실린 삽도는 진순(陳淳)과 그를 따른 명 말기 화 가들 및 운수평(惲壽平) 작품과 친연성이 깊다. 또한 새로운 형태의 국화 꽃과 녹색국(綠色菊), 이색국(異色菊)은 가공의 회화 이미지가 아니라 실 재하는 국화의 모습을 재현한 것으로 판단된다.
