This study aims to discover the “role of a leader” for “creative interaction” in process drama. Based on the researcher’s experience, although process drama has a structured plan, a dramatic experience is not always guaranteed from merely following the plan. Therefore, it emphasizes that during the drama process “creative interaction” is needed that allows leaders and adolescents to influence each other through their creativity, thereby enhancing the experience. The researcher, inspired by their adolescence and having explored the interests of contemporary adolescents, sought to find common ground between the researcher and adolescents for “creative interaction.” During the planning stage, a focus was established as the guiding point for the experiences to be shared with adolescents through drama, and the context was structured. As a leader, the researcher first became a participant in their own plan and explored it in a multifaceted manner. This approach enabled leaders to receive creative inspiration from adolescents and make intuitive choices, fostering the growth of the experience. Furthermore, the researcher, after experiencing the drama, created and performed scenes based on their experiences, interacted with adolescents through improvisational acting in some scenes, and restructured the process by composing scenes through practice. In the implementation phase, dialogic reflection on the experience was facilitated through the leader’s inquiries, and after the drama, activities were designed to allow adolescents to reflect on the entire drama experience on their own. Hopefully, this study will serve as inspiration for leaders who are contemplating creative encounters with adolescents in process drama.

본 연구는 과정드라마에서 참여자와의 ‘창조적인 상호작용’을 위한 ‘리더의 역할’에 대한 발견을 목적으 로 한다. 연구자의 경험상 과정드라마는 구조화되는 계획이 있으나, 계획대로 실행한다고 극적 경험이 항상 담보되지 않았다. 따라서 드라마가 이루어지는 과정에서 리더와 청소년 참여자가 서로의 창조성으 로 영향을 주고받으며 경험을 성장시켜 나가는, 이른바 ‘창조적인 상호작용’이 필요하다는 점에 주목한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 리더와 청소년의 창조적인 상호작용이 이루어지기 위해서 먼저, 연구자의 청소 년기에서 영감을 받고 동시대 청소년들의 관심사를 탐구하여 리더와 청소년 사이의 공통 접점을 찾고자 했다. 계획 단계에서는 드라마를 통해 청소년들과 어떤 경험을 나누고자 하는지 지향점이 되는 포커스 를 세우고 맥락을 구조화했으며, 리더로서 먼저 자신의 계획에 참여자가 되어 다층적으로 탐구하였다. 이 과정은 실행 과정에서 리더와 청소년들에게서 창조적 영감을 받고 직관적인 선택을 하며 경험을 성 장시켜 갈 수 있게 하였다. 아울러 연구자는 드라마를 경험한 이후, 이를 바탕으로 리더가 연극 장면을 창작해서 연기로 보여주고, 일부 장면은 청소년과 장면 속에서 즉흥 연기로 상호작용하고, 연습을 통해 장면을 만드는 부분을 구성하는 등 ‘재구조화’하여 실행하였다. 나아가 실행 과정에서는 리더의 발문을 통해 경험을 반추하는 대화를 나누고, 드라마를 마친 후에는 전체 드라마 경험을 청소년들이 반추할 수 있도록 활동을 구성하였다. 본 연구가 과정드라마에서 청소년과의 창조적 만남을 고민하는 리더들에게 영감이 되길 기대한다.
