The aim of this study was to examine the mediating effects of interoceptive awareness on the relationship between self-criticism and satisfaction with life. This study also aimed to explore whether the sub-factors of interoceptive awareness had differential mediating effects. A total of 396 valid data were collected from adults aged 20 years and above for the conduct of this study. The data collected was analysed controlling for age, education and gender effects. Applying a process macro model, the analysis revealed a significant partial mediation effect of interoceptive awareness. Among the sub-factors of interoceptive awareness, the indirect effects of ‘return to body’ and ‘trust’ were significant. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

본 연구는 자기비난이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 부정적 영향을 내수용자각이 매개하여 그 부정적 효과를 감 소시킬 수 있는지를 검증하기 위한 것이다. 아울러 다양한 주의의 차원이 반영되어 있는 내수용자각의 하위요인별 매개효과의 차별성을 조사하여 자기비난과 삶의 만족도 관계에 영향을 미치는 주의의 특성에 대해서도 탐색하고 자 하였다. 온라인 서베이 전문업체를 통해 20세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 자기비난, 내수용자각, 삶의 만족도를 측 정하는 자기보고식 설문지를 실시하였다. 총 396명의 유효한 자료가 수집되어 연령, 교육 및 성별 효과를 통제하 고 분석하였다. SPSS 통계 프로그램과 Process Macro model을 적용하여 내수용자각의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과 자기비난과 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 내수용자각의 유의한 부분매개효과가 도출되었다. 또한 내수용자각 의 하위 요인별 병렬매개효과 분석을 통해 감각복귀 요인과 신뢰 요인의 간접효과가 확인되었다. 자기비난의 부정 적 효과를 감소시키기 위한 방법으로서 내수용자각의 감각복귀 및 신뢰와 연관된 중재가 효과적일 수 있음이 시 사되었으며 본 연구의 함의와 함께 제한점을 다루었다.
