In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, new weapon systems that did not exist before will constantly emerge, and these weapon systems will become artificial intelligence, unmanned, automation, and robots. Therefore, it can be seen that military leaders in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution must have the capabilities and qualities to fully understand computer systems and handle them skillfully. Therefore, in this article, we will focus on the concept of human computer interaction (HCI) to find out what capabilities our military leaders need to lead our military to an advanced military with the strongest fighting power in both mental and physical aspects in the future by adapting well to these times and environmental changes. To this end, we will first look at the concept and characteristics of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and then look at the impact of this 4th Industrial Revolution on our military. Next, we will analyze prior research related to this, and examine the concept of HCI and why HCI is necessary as a competency for military leaders in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

4차 산업혁명시대에는 기존에 없었던 새로운 무기체계가 끊임없이 등장하고 이러한 무기 체계들이 인공지능화·무인화·자동화·로봇화 될 것이다. 따라서 4차 산업혁명시대 군리더는 컴퓨터 시스템에 대해 충분히 이해하고 능숙하게 그러한 체계를 다룰 수 있는 역량과 자질을 반드시 갖춰야 한다고 볼 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 이 글에서는 이와 같은 시대와 환경 변화 에 잘 적응하여 앞으로 우리군을 정신적·물리적 측면에서 모두 최강의 전투력을 갖춘 선진 강군으로 이끌어 나가기 위해 우리군의 리더들에게 어떤 역량이 필요한지를 HCI(Human Computer Interaction) 개념을 중심으로 알아볼 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 4차산업혁명의 개념과 특징에 대해 알아보고 이러한 4차산업혁명이 우리군에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴볼 것 이다. 이어서 이와 관련된 선행연구를 분석하고, HCI의 개념과 4차 산업혁명시대 군리더에 게 HCI가 하나의 역량으로써 필요한 이유에 대해 고찰해 보도록 할 것이다.
