The current study examined the variables of the embodied state cul-tural capital, objectified state cultural capital, and institutionalized state cultural capital which effect on the argumentativeness. Second, after making two groups based on the average point of cultural capital, we ex-amined the difference of the argumentativeness between two groups. We then examined the difference of the argumentativeness between two dif-ferent residential districts. Results showed that the variables which effect on the argumentative-ness such as number of the domestic trips, number of reading books, aver-age income, debate experience, and foreign language efficiency were drawn. For the residential districts, the objectified state cultural capital, and institutionalized state cultural capital in the Dongbu-echon-dong dis-trict were higher than Hoegi-dong district whereas there is no difference in the embodied state cultural capital. The higher the cultural capitial was, the higher the argumentativeness. This indicates the importance of the cul-tural capital in offsprings' argumentativeness as an arbitus shaped in the family. Limitations and suggestions for future study were discussed thereafter.

이 연구는 문화자본의 세 가지 하부구성요인인 ‘체화된 문화자본’, ‘객관적 문화자본’, ‘제도화된 문화자본’ 중 어떠한 요인이 논쟁 성향에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고, 문화자본의 고저에 따라 논쟁 성향에서 나타나는 차이를 살펴보았다. 또한 거주지역에 따른 문화자본의 차이가 나타나는지 여부도 살펴보았다.분석 결과 국내여행, 독서 권수, 평균수입, 토론경험 및 외국어 의사소통 변인이 논쟁 성향에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 변인으로 도출되었다. 거주지역에 따른 문화자본의 차이에서 객관적 문화자본 및 제도화된 문화자본에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으나, 체화된 상태의 문화자본에서는 유의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 또한 문화자본의 높고 낮음에 따른 논쟁 성향의 차이가 나타났다. 이는 문화 소비가 아비투스로 체화되어 논쟁 성향에도 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 말해 준다. 덧붙여 이 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 제시되었다
