The purpose of this study is to derive implications by investigating and analyzing college students’ communi cation-related needs for effective communication education for college students. In order to achieve this purpose, a questionnaire was developed to grasp the necessary level and the current level, and based on this, the educational needs of college students were surveyed. For analysis, 136 respondents who answered through an online survey were analyzed. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test, Borich requirement formula, and The Focus for Focus model were used as the method of analyzing the questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows. First, the importance of J University learners was high in the order of ‘composition ability’, ‘technical ability’, ‘presentation’, and ‘analysis ability’. Second, the needs of H University learners were high in the order of ‘technical ability’, ‘perspective ability’, ‘presentation’, ‘interview’, and ‘analysis ability’. Based on these research results, it was proposed to emphasize group discussions, expand the number of presentation practices, and develop manuals for effective presentation for effective communication classes.

본 연구는 대학생 대상 효과적인 의사소통 교육을 위하여 대학생들의 의사소통 관련 교육 요구도를 조사 및 분석함으로써 시사점을 도출하는 것이 목적이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 필요수준과 현재 수준을 파악하기 위 한 설문지를 개발하였고, 이를 기반으로 하여 대학생의 토론 영역 의사소 통에 대한 교육요구도를 조사하였다. 분석을 위하여 온라인 설문을 통하 여 응답한 136명의 응답지에 대하여 분석하였다. 설문지 분석방법으로는 빈도분석, 기술통계, t-검정, F-검정, Borich 요구도 공식 및 The Locus for Focus 모델을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, J 대학 학습자의 중요도는 ‘구성 능력’, ‘기술능력’, ‘발표’, ‘분석능력’의 순서로 높았다. 둘째, H 대학 학습자의 요구도는 ‘기술능력’, ‘구성능력’, ‘발표’, ‘면접’, ‘분석능력’의 순서로 높았다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 효과적인 의사소통 수업을 위하여 조별 토론의 강조, 발표 실습의 횟수 확대, 효과적인 발표를 위한 매뉴얼 개발 등이 필요함을 제안하였다.
