- The purpose of this study is to explore the future direction of sports philosophy education by examining trends in physical education departments and sports philosophy courses in domestic universities. The research results are as follows. First, the number of physical education departments established in 372 universities nationwide was 384, and the number of physical education departments established in 226 graduate schools nationwide was 124. Second, there were 98 sports philosophy-related courses offered in sports departments at domestic universities, and 104 sports philosophy courses offered at domestic graduate schools. Third, looking at the top three names of sports philosophy courses offered at universities across the country, they appeared in that order: history and philosophy of physical education, philosophy of physical education, and philosophy of sports. For graduate schools, they appeared in the order of philosophy of sports, history and philosophy of physical education, and philosophy of sports.

- 본 연구의 목적은 국내 대학의 체육학과와 스포츠철학과목의 동향을 살펴봄으로써 향후 스포츠철학교육의 방향성을 모색하는 데 있다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전국 372개의 대학교에 설치된 체육관련학과 는 384개로 나타났으며, 전국 226개의 대학원에 설치된 체육학과는 124 개로 나타났다. 둘째, 국내 대학 384개의 체육관련학과에서 개설된 스포 츠철학 관련 교과목은 98개로 나타났으며, 국내 대학원 124개의 체육관 련학과에서 개설된 스포츠철학 교과목은 104개로 나타났다. 셋째, 전국 대학교에 개설된 98개의 스포츠철학 교과목명 중 상위 3개를 살펴보면 체육사‧철학, 체육철학, 스포츠철학 순으로 나타났으며, 대학원에서의 스 포츠철학의 교과목명의 현황은 체육철학, 체육사‧철학, 스포츠철학 순으 로 나타났다. 본 연구는 전국 대학에 개설된 스포츠철학 교과목 현황과 실태를 분석함으로써 스포츠철학의 학문적 정체성 정립과 발전을 위한 논의의 기초자료를 제공할 수 있기를 기대한다.
