Recently the demand for foreigners to major in Korean literature at undergraduate is increasing. Literature does not deal with the language itself, if who is a foreigner and want to major in Korean literature, he/she must be a level of advanced learner of Korean with a basic understanding of Korean culture. This is because literature must be able to understand the language behind it that is not expressed expressively. In the case of poetry, which is the genre with the most characteristics of connotation, it is necessary to be able to read the language hidden in the space between the lines. The poem must be a character analysis of the poet in particular and an understanding of the poet's poetic world as a whole. The competencies required for foreigners wishing to translate Korean literature include analysis and understanding of the work they wish to translate, understanding of the writer, the era in which the writer lived, and background knowledge of the era in the work they wish to translate. Foreigners can learn Korean literature in a creative way by visiting literature museums and taking advantage of experiential activities. Centered around the Park Doo-jin Literary Museum, we seek ways to educate Korean literature so that foreign students can understand modern poetry in a variety of ways and in an interesting way. Based on this, foreign students of Korean literature in college and future translators of Korean literature will be able to reduce the sense of distance between themselves and Korean poetry without feeling unfamiliar with it.

최근 학부에서 한국문학을 전공하려는 외국인 수요가 늘어나고 있다. 문학이 언어 그 자체의 언어를 다루지 않는 장르인 만큼 그 특성상, 외국인이면서 한국문학을 전공 하고자 한다면, 기본적으로 한국문화를 이해하고 있는 한국어 고급 학습자 일정 수준 이상이어야 가능하다. 문학은 표면적으로 드러나지 않는 이면의 언어를 이해할 수 있 어야 하기 때문이다. 함축의 특성을 가장 많이 지니는 장르인 시의 경우 행간의 여백 속에 숨어있는 언어를 읽어낼 수 있어야 한다. 시는 특히 시인에 대한 인물 분석이 되 어 있어야 하고, 시인의 시 세계 전반을 파악하고 있어야 한다. 한국문학을 번역하고자 하는 외국인에게 필요한 역량은 작품에 대한 분석력, 이해력과 문인에 대한 이해, 작가 가 살아온 시대, 작품 속 시대에 대한 배경지식 등을 들 수 있다. 문학관 관람과 체험활 동을 활용한다면 창의적인 방법으로 한국문학을 배울 수 있다. 박두진 문학관을 중심 으로 외국인 학생들이 다채롭고 흥미롭게 현대시를 이해하기 위한 한국문학 교육 방법 을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 바탕으로 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 한국문학 학습자들과 한 국문학 미래의 번역가들이 한국 시를 낯설게 느끼지 않고 심리적인 거리감을 줄일 수 있기를 기대한다.
