This study aimed to empirically investigate the influence of teacher likeability on the relationship between teacher enthusiasm and immersion in physical education classes as perceived by elementary school students. For this purpose, three hundred fifty five 5th and 6th grade elementary school children in I city participated in this study. Data analysis involved three statistical methods such as exploratory factor analysis, verification of factor reliability, correlation analysis between variables, and hierarchical moderated regression analysis. The conclusions reached through research analysis are as follows. First, the likeability of the teacher perceived by the students had a partial effect on the relationship between the teacher's enthusiasm for physical education classes and class immersion. In particular, based on the results of analyzing class immersion by dividing it into self-centered and task-centered, in task-centered immersion it was confirmed that teacher likeability had an effect on students' enthusiasm for understanding and enthusiasm for class preparation. Second, it cannot be said that students' positive response to teacher likeability has a statistically complete moderating effect in the relationship between student enthusiasm for understanding and task-centered immersion. However, students' negative reactions to teacher likeability were found to have a statistically significant complete moderating effect in the negative(-) direction in the relationship between student enthusiasm for understanding and class immersion.

본 연구는 초등학생이 인지한 체육수업 교사열정과 몰입의 관계에서 교사호감이 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 I시 5, 6학년 초등학생 355명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하 였다. 자료분석은 탐색적요인분석(EFA), 요인별 신뢰도(Cronbach’s α)을 검증, 변수 간의 상관분석, 그리고 위계적 조절회귀분석을 활용하였다. 연구분석을 통해 도달한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학 생들이 인지한 체육수업에 대한 교사열정과 수업몰입의 관계에서 학생들이 인식하는 교사호감이 부분적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 특히 수업몰입을 자기중심과 과제중심으로 구분하여 분석한 결과를 토 대로 보면 과제중심몰입에서 교사호감이 학생이해열정과 수업준비열정에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 둘째, 학생들의 교사호감에 대한 긍정반응은 학생이해열정과 과제중심몰입의 관계에 서 통계적으로 완전한 조절효과가 있다고 할 수는 없다. 그러나 학생들의 교사호감에 대한 부정반 응은 학생이해열정과 수업몰입의 관계에서 음(-)적인 방향으로 통계적으로 유의한 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다
