This study investigates the extant version of Cheongseongo, targeting the profiles of officials called Cheongseongo, which is one of the special directories of the Joseon Dynasty and analyzes the composition and contents of 11 types of extant versions of Cheongseongo. Also, a systematic analysis of those versions was conducted. First of all, in addition to the existing 7 types of extant versions of Cheongseongo, 4 types of extant versions were discovered. Accordingly, a comparative study was conducted on the composition and contents of 11 types of extant versions of Cheongseongo. The results of the study are as follows. As a result of comparing the composition, the similarities in terms of composition of the Jangseogak collection(K2-603) and the Kyujanggak collection(古0180-3), 8 special compositions, 50 items which are included only in one edition, items which were not included only in the Jangseogak collection (K2-603), 29 items which were included only in the Jangseogak collection (K2-603) and the Kyujanggak collection (古0180-3), and 4 items written differently in each version were analyzed. Also, as a result of comparison of content records, a description of the content, the records of table of contents, records of civil and military officials and the eumjik government officials, records of the contents of the Munboguk, the presence or absence, types and colours of seals, and the differences between the records of Beonjin and Yoohu were analyzed. Through the above study, among the 11 types of extant verisons of Cheongseongo, the version of Jangseogak collection (K2-603) is the most complete extant version, and the versions of Jangseogak collection(K2-603) and Gyujanggak collection(奎12649) and Yonsei University Library collection(353.003) appear to be those produced by the government offices. And other versions are analyzed to be post-copies and reedited versions, judging by the composition and content description.
