This article examines the current status and value of the data by targeting 235 books of 169 types owned by the Chunjanggong clan of the Namwon Yang clan in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do. The Chunjanggong clan, as a literary family, must have held a large amount of ancient books since the Joseon Dynasty based on their economic and intelligence power. However, a considerable amount of data was lost or dispersed in the process of war, fire, and modernization. Nevertheless, due to the efforts of the clan, various editions published in the 16th and 17th centuries, including valuable ancient books stamped with the seal of Yang, the father of Yang Daebak, could exist. In addition to the literary value, by discovering and introducing ancient books related to the major figures such as Yang Daebak, Yang Gyeongu, Yang Hyeongu and Yang Juik, it was intended to enhance the academic utilization value in the embankment, such as the life history, literature history, Chinese literature, and local history of not only the relevant person but also those around him.

이 글은 전북 남원의 남원양씨 충장공파 종중이 소장한 고서 169종 235책을 대상으로 자료의 현황과 가치를 살펴본 것이다. 충장공파 종중은 문인 가문으로서 경제력과 정보력을 바탕으로 조선시대부터 많은 양의 고서를 수장했을 것이다. 그러나 전쟁, 화재 및 근대화 과정 속에서 상당량의 자료가 유실되거나 분산되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 종중의 노력으로 양대박의 부친인 양의의 날인이 찍힌 귀중한 고서를 비롯하여 16-17세기에 간행한 각종 판본들이 현존할 수 있었다. 이 글은 특히 판본학적 가치 이외에도 주요 인물인 양대박, 양경우, 양형우, 양주익과 관련된 고서를 발굴, 소개함으로써 해당 인물은 물론 주변 인물들의 생애사, 문학사, 한문학, 지역사 등 제방면에 있어서 학술적 활용가치를 제고하고자 하였다.
