After liberation, korean diaspora living in Manchuria came under the control of the Chinese Communist Party. They were mobilized for the Chinese Civil War and later the Korean War. Through the two wars, they were able to establish their status as citizens and a minority group in China. After the war, strong systems of communist dictatorship were established in China and North Korea, and Korean-Chinese made enormous sacrificies and suffered huge losses in the process. Recently, China and North Korea have been creating tensions with many nations, threatening regional and global peace and security. In this situation, it is meaningful to examine the Korean-Chinese people's perceptions of the fight against South Korea on the side of the communist country in the past. While Korean-Chinese raised and educated in China take pride in the participation and sacrifice of their predecessors, Korean-Chinese in other parts of the world seem to have different perspectives. This paper looks at the possibility of changes in the perception based on objective facts among Korean-Chinese societies by paying attention to the different evaluations made in China and abroad.

광복 이후 만주 지역에 거주하던 조선인들은 중국공산당의 지배하에 놓이게 되었고 국공내전과 6·25전 쟁에 동원되었다. 재중조선인들은 두 차례의 전쟁을 통해 중국 내에서 공민, 소수민족의 지위를 확립할 수 있었다. 전후 중국과 북한에서는 강력한 공산 독재 시스템이 구축되었고 전쟁에서 막대한 희생을 치른 조선 인들도 그 과정에서 수많은 피해를 보았다. 최근 들어 중국과 북한은 여러 국가와 긴장국면을 조성하여 지역 나아가 전 세계의 평화와 안보에 위협이 되고 있다. 이런 상황에서 중국 공민인 조선족들이 과거 공산국가의 편에서 한국을 상대로 전쟁을 치렀던 역사에 대해 어떤 인식을 가지고 있는지 살펴보는 것은 의미가 있다. 중국에서 교육을 받고 자란 조선족들은 선배 세대의 참전과 희생에 대해 자긍심을 가지는 반면 중국을 떠나 해외에서 생활하는 조선족 출신 중에는 재중조선인들의 참전 역사에 대해 다른 시각으로 평가하는 경우들 이 있다. 본고는 중국 국내와 국외에서 이루어지는 서로 다른 평가에 주목함으로써 객관적 사실에 기초한 조 선족들의 인식 변화의 가능성을 전망해본다.
