In order to examine how our writers used 『The Book of Odes(詩經)』’s in their poetry, I first investigated the patterns in which passages from were cited. As a result, “The work of heaven has no sound or smell.[上天之載, 無聲無臭]” was cited the most, followed by “The virtuous King Mun, alas, stayed bright and respectful.[穆穆文王, 於緝熙 敬止]”⋅“Crowded Lots of scholars[濟濟多士]”⋅“Although the Ju Dynasty is an old country, its divine order is new.[周雖舊邦, 其命維新]” were frequently used. Accordingly, we investigated the usage patterns in order of frequency of citation and analyzed them by dividing them into prose and verse. As a result, in the case of prose, the state of Truth[道] and Truth is expressed with “no sound, no smell” or praise of the king and expression of ‘Respect[敬]’ are expressed through phrases such as “Stay bright and respectful”, “Crowded lots of scholars”, or “Its divine order is new”. Also, The cultivation of virtue was emphasized through the phrase “Don't you think of your ancestors?[無念爾祖]”. In addition, we could also see cases where outstanding talents were compared through the phrase “Crowded lots of scholars”. In addition to this, there were also cases where the renewal of the country was metaphorized through the phrase “Its divine order is new”, or the prosperity of the royal family was metaphorized through the phrase “Descendants prosper for more than 100 years.[本支百世]”. In the case of verse, we could see content praising the king using phrases from “no sound, no smell” etc. And I was able to identify passages from used to reflect on the teachings of Confucian scriptures. In addition, we were able to find cases where he expressed his daily feelings using passages from .
