This thesis started with an attempt to present Pung-ryu as the beginning of Korean thought and to establish the identity of Pung-ryu thought. In the 21st century, Korea is expanding its cultural influence globally, starting with 'Korean Wave'. The 'wisdom idea' of our people, who have a long history and are creating a brilliant civilization. In other words, it is time to think about the starting point of philosophy. Although the best way to find the root is to start from the starting point, there is also a way to go backward from the arrival point when the content corresponding to the starting point is insufficient. In this context, an attempt was made to start a discussion on the identity of the wind current by organizing and comparing each interpretation of the wind current based on modern and contemporary research data on the wind current. The interpretation of Pung-ryu by Bumbu Kim Jeong-seol, who was active during the modernization period during the Japanese colonial period, Yoo Dong-sik's Pung-ryu theology, which established Pung-ryu theology in the 780s, and Choi Young-sung's current interpretation of Pung-ryu were summarized to compare how Pung-ryu was interpreted by each scholar. The values of Pungryu are sometimes evaluated differently in each interpretation because the concerns of the times were different and the fields of study were different. Bumbu's Pung-ryu emphasizes 'harmony', Yoo Dong-sik points out 'convergence', and Choi Young-sung points out 'subjectivity'. Although each scholar's emphasis may be different, everyone agrees that the foundation for cultural formation should also start with Pung-ryu as the beginning of Korean thought. In particular, I think Choi Young-sung's research is a meaningful study that unravels the thoughts of old thinkers from a modern perspective and makes us think about subjectivity as well as universality in the globalized present.

이 논문은 한국적 사상의 시원으로서 풍류를 제시하고, 풍류 사상의 정체성을 정립하 고자 하는 시도에서 출발하였다. 21세기에 들어 한국은 ‘한류’를 시작으로 문화적 영향 력을 세계적으로 확장하고 있다. 유구한 역사를 지니고 찬란한 문명을 만들어가고 있는 우리 민족이 가진 ‘지혜로운 생각’. 즉 철학의 출발점에 대한 고민이 필요한 때이다. 뿌리를 찾는 방법은 시작점부터 출발하는 것이 가장 좋은 방법이기는 하나 시작점에 해당하는 내용이 충분치 않을 때는 도착점에서 거슬러 올라가는 방법도 있다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 풍류에 관한 근현대의 연구자료를 토대로 각각의 풍류 해석을 정리하여 비교 함으로써 풍류의 정체성에 관한 논의를 시작하고자 시도하였다. 일제 강점기에서 근대화 시기 활동한 범부 김정설의 풍류 해석과 7,80년대 풍류 신학 을 정립한 유동식의 풍류 신학 그리고 현재 연구되고 있는 최영성의 풍류 해석을 정리하 여 각 학자에게 풍류가 어떻게 해석되고 있는지를 비교하였다. 시대적 고민이 서로 달랐 고, 학문의 영역도 다른 때문에 각 해석에는 풍류가 가진 가치가 다르게 평가되기도 한다. 범부의 풍류는 ‘조화’를 강조하고 있으며 유동식은 ‘융합’을 최영성은 ‘주체성’을 짚어 내고 있다. 각 학자가 강조하는 바는 다를지 몰라도 모두가 한국적 사상의 시원으로서 풍류를 가 리키고 있으며 문화 형성의 기반 역시 풍류에서부터 출발해야 함에 동의하고 있다. 특히 최영성의 연구는 옛 사상가의 생각을 현대적인 시각에서 풀어낸 점 그리고 세계화된 현재를 사는 우리에게 보편성과 더불어 주체성을 생각해보게 하는 의미 있는 연구라고 생각한다.
