With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution society, this study explored what role teachers at the early childhood education stage perceive they should play as teachers in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution era in order to foster human beings required by the 4th Industrial Revolution society. Accordingly, this study analyzed 105 responses collected from early childhood teachers with experience working with children aged 3 to 5 years old by performing semantic network analysis. As a result, first, it was found that early childhood teachers recognized the role of ‘creative thinking inducer’ as the most necessary role for early childhood teachers in preparation for the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Second, as a result of analyzing the cognitive structure of the role of early childhood teachers, teacher roles such as 'play participant/supporter' and 'emotional supporter' appeared to be structurally connected to each other, centering on 'creative thinking inducer'. The roles of 'initiative helper', 'cooperator', and 'interactor' also appeared to be interconnected. These results show that early childhood teachers recognize that nurturing creative human beings is more important than anything else in preparation for the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. This suggests that they recognize that early childhood teachers perceive that they need to provide emotional support, cooperation, and interaction with children to enable to take initiative in the play process, in turn, that children can develop creative thinking.

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 사회가 도래함에 따라 4차 산업혁명 사회에서 요구하는 인간 양성 을 위하여 유아 교육 단계에서 교사들이 교사로서 어떤 역할을 해야 한다고 인식하는지에 대 해 탐색하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 만 3~5세 유아를 담당한 경력이 있는 유아교사 로부터 수집한 105건의 응답을 의미연결망 분석(semantic network analysis)을 실시하여 분석 하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 유아교사들은 ‘창의적 사고 유도자’의 역할을 4차 산업혁명 시대를 대 비하여 유아교사에게 가장 필요한 역할이라고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교 사의 역할에 대한 인식구조를 분석한 결과, ‘창의적 사고 유도자’를 중심으로 ‘놀이참여자/지 원자’, ‘정서적 지원자’ 등의 교사 역할이 서로 구조적으로 연결되어 나타났으며, ‘유아주도성 을 돕는자’, ‘협력자’, ‘상호작용자’의 역할이 또한 서로 연결되어 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유 아교사들이 4차 산업혁명 시대를 대비하여 창의적 인간 양성이 무엇보다 중요함을 인식하고 있으며, 이를 위해서 유아가 창의적 사고를 놀이 과정에서 키워갈 수 있도록 교사가 정서적 으로 지원 및 협력하고 유아와 상호작용하는 것이 필요함을 인식하고 있음을 함의한다.
