The purpose of this study is to define the concept of parent grit and derive its components. The research questions for this purpose were set as ‘what is the concept of parental grit’ and ‘what are the components of parental grit?’. In order to solve the research problem, after reviewing previous studies and literature, behavioral event interviews were conducted with 13 parents to clarify the concept of parental grit and derive constituent factors. In addition, based on this, 20 experts conducted content validity verification and content evaluation. As a result of the study, the concept of parental grit is 'parents of children in infancy and early elementary school maintain interest in learning successful parenting roles, maintain a positive relationship with their children, invest appropriate time and energy in nurturing and education, and It was defined as positively accepting problems and constantly working hard even when problems arise in parenting situations. Three components were derived: 'Maintenance of parents' interest in learning', 'Passion for parenting', and 'Continuation of effort'. Based on the results of these studies, it is hoped that the concept of parental grit by age group of children and the search for components, and the development of measurement tools that can measure parental grit will lead to follow-up studies.

본 연구의 목적은 부모 그릿의 개념을 정의하고 구성요인을 도출하는 것이 다. 이를 위한 연구 문제는 ‘부모 그릿의 개념은 무엇인가’와 ‘부모 그릿의 구성요인은 무엇인가?’로 설정하였다. 연구 문제를 해결하기 위해 선행연구와 문헌고찰 후 13명의 부모에게 행동사건인터뷰를 실시하여 부모 그릿의 개념을 구명하고 구성요인을 도출하 였다. 아울러 이를 바탕으로 20명의 전문가에게 내용타당성 검증과 내용평가를 진행하 였다. 연구 결과로 부모 그릿의 개념은 ‘유아기 및 초등 전기 자녀의 부모가 성공적인 부모역할 학습에 흥미를 유지하고, 자녀와의 긍정적인 관계를 유지하면서 양육과 교육 에 적절한 시간과 에너지를 쏟으며, 예상하지 못한 양육 상황에서 문제가 발생해도 긍 정적으로 받아들이고 끊임없이 노력하는 것’으로 정의하였다. 구성요인은 ‘부모학습 흥 미유지’, ‘양육열정’, ‘노력지속’의 3가지를 도출하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 자 녀 연령대별 부모 그릿 개념과 구성요인 탐색, 부모 그릿을 측정할 수 있는 측정도구 개발 등이 후속연구로 이어지기를 기대한다.
