The purpose of this study was to qualitatively explore female college students’ views on marriage. The research questions of this study are as follows. First, what is the perception of female college students about the marriage system? Second, what is the perception of female college students about the necessity of marriage? Third, what do female college students think a successful marriage is? For this purpose, a written survey using questionnaires was conducted targeting 18 female college students. The analysis was conducted using the modified Consensual Qualitative Research-Modified (CQR-M). As a result, 9 categories and 25 subcategories were derived from 3 areas. First, four categories and eight subcategories were derived from female college students’ perceptions of the marriage system; ‘Awareness of the marriage system itself’, ‘Awareness of childbirth’, ‘Awareness of conflicts that may be experienced during marriage’, ‘Awareness of couple’s economic management’. Second, two categories were derived from female college students’ perception of the necessity of marriage, and nine subcategories were derived; ‘Marriage is ‘inevitable’, ‘marriage is ‘choice’ ’. Third, three categories were derived from female college students’ thoughts on successful marriage, and eight subcategories were derived; ‘Spouse selection’, ‘marriage life’, ‘Consider the impact on your children’. It is expected that this study will be able to provide basic data to deeply understand the marriage views of female college students living in a changing era.

본 연구의 목적은 여대생의 결혼관에 대해 질적으로 탐색하는 것이었다. 본 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여대생의 결혼제도에 대한 인식은 어떠한가? 둘째, 여대생의 결혼의 필요성에 대한 인식은 어떠한가?, 셋째, 여대생이 생각하는 성공적인 결혼은 어떠한가? 였다. 이를 위하여 18명의 여대생을 대상으로 질문지를 활용한 서면 조사를 실시하였으며, 수정된 합의적 질적 방법(CQR-M; Consensual Qualitative Research-Modified)으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 3개의 영역에서 9개 범주, 25개 하위범주를 도출되었다. 첫째, 여대생의 결혼제도에 대한 인식에서 ‘결혼제도 자체에 대한 인식’, ‘출산에 대한 인식’, ‘결혼생활 중 경험할 수 있는 갈등에 대한 인식’, ‘부부의 경제 관리에 대한 인식’의 4개의 범주와 8개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 둘째, 여대생의 결혼의 필요성에 대한 인식에서 ‘결혼은 ‘반드시’ 필요‘, ’결혼은 ‘선택’의 2개 범주가 도출되었으며, 9개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 셋째, 여대생이 생각하는 성공적인 결혼에서 ‘배우자 선택’, ‘결혼생활’, ‘자녀에게 미치는 영향 고려’의 3개 범주가 도출되었으며, 8개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구를 통해 변화하는 시대를 살아가는 여대생들의 결혼관에 대해 깊이 이해할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
