This study investigated to contribute to the efficient use of interdental toothbrushes by analyzing oral health behavior related to interdental toothbrushes for patients visiting 'o' dental office in Busan. From June to October 2022, and 372 copies were used for the final data analysis. The SPSS (ver.23.0 for Windows, Chicago, IL. USA) statistical program was used for the analysis of the results. 30.4% of respondents respond they used interdental toothbrushes. In case of using interdental toothbrush, 47.8% of respondents respond choosing anything as the criterion for choosing a product when purchasing an interdental toothbrush, and 81.4% of respondents respond unkowning exactly the size of using interdental toothbrush. Therefore, it is necessary to present guidelines for the selection and use of interdental toothbrushes in order to effectively utilize interdental toothbrushes It is considered that the subject's will to practice is important to motivate and change behavior by experts, so it is necessary to recognize and implement the importance of oral care education by clinical dental hygienists It's judged.

본 연구는 부산의 ‘o’치과진료기관에 내원하는 환자를 대상으로 치간칫솔 관련 구강건강행동 조사 및 분석을 통하여 치간칫솔의 효율적 활용방안 마련에 기여하고자 하였다. 2022년 6월부터 10월까지 설문조사를 시행하였으며, 최종 자료분석에는 372부를 활용하였다. 결과분석에는 SPSS(ver.23.0 for windows, Chicago, IL. USA)통계프로 그램을 사용하였다. 치간칫솔을 사용한다는 응답은 30.4%이었으며, 치간칫솔을 사용하는 경우에서 치간칫솔의 구매 시 제품을 선택하는 기준으로 ‘아무거나 선택한다’는 응답이 47.8%로 가장 높았고, ‘본인의 치간칫솔 크기에 대해서는 정확하게 알지 못한다’가 81.4%로 가장 높았다. 이에 효율적인 치간칫솔 활용을 위하여 치간칫솔 선택 및 사용의 가이드라인을 제시할 필요하다 사료되며, 대상자의 실천의지는 전문가에 의한 동기유발과 행동변화가 중요하므로 임상 치과위생사의 구강관리교육에 대한 중요성 인지와 시행의지 필요하다 판단된다.
