In this study, we aimed to evaluate the antibacterial effect and antioxidant activity of hibiscus fractions to identify natural cosmetic ingredients. Accordingly, the antibacterial effect of five microorganisms notified in the 'Cosmetics Microbial Limit Test Guideline' was examined through agar-well diffusion assay method, and total polyphenol and flavonoid content, DPPH radical scavenging activity, and ABTS were examined. Antioxidant activity was measured through radical scavenging activity. The experimental results showed antibacterial effects of 17.8±1.2, 14.7±0.5, and 12.0±1.4 mm for Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, respectively, and polyphenols and flavonoids were found to be 122.21±3.01 and 41.34±1.75 mg/g, respectively. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging abilities were confirmed to be 0.2901±0.0560 mg/mL and 0.2900±0.0193 mg/mL when calculating EC50 values, respectively. Through these results, the antibacterial effect and antioxidant activity of the hibiscus fraction were confirmed, confirming its potential as a cosmetic material.

Ever since next generation convergence technology became one of the most important industries in the nation, computing professionals have encountered a growing number of challenges. Along with scholars and colleagues in related fields, they have gathered in avariety of forums and meetings over the last few decades to share their knowledge, experiences and the outcome of their research. These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
