Culture and art studies, which are differentiated from cultural studies, are studies that must explore the professional perspectives of art studies in a consultative manner, and it is necessary to start from the meaning related to the birth of art. This is an academic system that goes beyond the technical meaning of art, and it means the independent establishment of a large framework of recording and reflection, representation and search, creation and fusion. Regarding the academic foundations of culture and art studies, this course focuses on the discussion of the orientation of the nature of art from a cultural perspective and the raising of philosophical questions in culture and art studies, rather than art in culture. The role of culture and art as a function must set universal values and goals, and in this respect, the coexistence of good and evil, which are the two sides of culture, is a matter that must be preceded by the aesthetic nature of art studies or the pursuit of truth. Therefore, the sociological perspective of art is also discussed in terms of the sharing of communal consciousness and altruism or the pleasure of communication in the free transition pursued by art.

문화학과 차별화되는 문화예술학은 예술학의 전문적 시야를 협의적으로 모색해야 하는 연구로 예술의 태동과 관련한 의미에서 출발할 필요가 있다. 이는 예술이라는 기 술적 의미를 넘어선 학문적 체계이며 기록과 반성, 재현과 모색, 창조 및 융합이라는 큰 틀의 독자적 정립을 뜻한다. 문화예술학의 학문적 토대와 관련해 문화적 관점에서 예술의 본성에 관한 지향성을 의미화하고 문화 속의 예술이 아닌 문화학과 예술학의 철학적 물음의 제기에 대한 논의를 중심으로 한다. 문화예술학의 기능으로서의 역할은 보편적 가치와 목표를 설정하여야 하며, 그 점 에서 문화의 양면인 선과 악의 공존은 예술학의 미적 본성 또는 진리의 추구와 맞물려 선행되어야 할 문제다. 따라서 예술이 추구하는 자유로운 이행에는 자유의 태만이 아 닌 공동체적 의식과 이타의식의 공유 또는 소통의 쾌라는 점에서 예술의 사회학적 관 점까지도 논하고 있다.
