The purpose of this study is to review Korean traditional music-related song materials and their utilization plans that can reflect Education for Sustainable Development(ESD) and to explore the direction of Korean traditional music education from the perspective of ESD. The research method is as follows. First, a framework of criteria including the theoretical background, domains, and content elements of ESD was reviewed and selected. Second, based on the analysis criteria, the relevance with Korean traditional music was identified for each domain and song materials suitable for class use were examined. Within the domains of ESD, specifically focusing on 'sustainable present and future', 'sustainable environment and civic life', 'sustainable society and civic life', and 'sustainable economy and civic life,' the relevance with Korean traditional music was identified, and song materials suitable for use were presented. Korean traditional music serves as a significant tool in cultivating talented individuals to enable a sustainable future. From this point of view, Korean traditional music education in the future should go beyond mere musical exploration and offer integrated education encompassing various fields such as economy, environment, society, and culture. The educational utilization in Korean music can solidify the value, importance, and legitimacy of Korean traditional music education. In the future, continuous research on this is needed.

본 연구는 지속가능발전교육을 반영할 수 있는 국악 관련 제재곡 및 활용방안 등을 살펴보고, 지속가능발전교육의 관점에서 국악교육이 나아가야 할 방향성을 모색하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구방법은 첫째, 지속가능발전교육의 이론적 배경, 영역 및 내용 요소를 포함한 준거틀 을 검토하고 선정하였다. 둘째, 분석준거에 의거하여 각 영역별로 국악과의 연관성을 파악하 고, 활용 가능한 제재곡을 살펴보았다. 지속가능발전교육의 영역 중 1.지속가능한 현재와 미래 2.지속가능한 환경과 시민생활 3. 지속가능한 사회와 시민생활 4.지속가능한 경제와 시민생활에서 국악과의 연관성을 밝히고, 활용 가능한 제재곡을 제시하였다. 국악은 지속가능한 미래를 가능하게 하기 위한 인재상을 양성하는데 중요한 교육적 제재로, 이러한 관점에서 앞으로의 국악 교육은 음악적 탐구에서 나아가 경제, 환경, 사회, 문화 등 다양한 분야와의 융합적 교육이 이루어져야한다. 이러한 국악의 교육의 활용은 국악교육의 가치 및 중요성과 당위성을 공고히 할 수 있으며 앞으로 이에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.
