This study reviewed the learning contents and visual materials of samulnori contained in music textbooks and suggested ways to improve them. First, the learning goals of Samulnori were limited to 'playing' and 'performing together.' It is suggested that the tone and harmony in sounds, and creative expression of the Samulnori instruments, are presented in the learning goals to further expand the content of Samulnori learning. Second, it is suggested that the content of the definition of Samulnori described in music textbooks is revised to have accurate facts delivered, not the currently used explanation. Third, the performance of the gong in the score of Insa Gut differs from publisher to publisher of the textbook. Through an interview with Kim Deok-soo, it was confirmed that the gong should be played on 1st and 3rd beats and should not be played in the end after all the performances were finished. It is suggested that the textbook contains an accurate music score. Fourth, Byeoldalgeori is a song composed samul (four instruments) jangan and mal(verbal) jangdan. The terms and contents of maljangdan must be clearly presented, and maljangdan can lead to creative learning activities. Fifth, visual materials and explanations for Samulnori performance attire were insufficient in the textbooks. Visual materials can enhance the effectiveness of learning, so it is suggested that correct materials and explanations are presented. For this study, among the contents of Samulnori learning included in music textbooks, the parts that needed verification were confirmed through an interview with Kim Deok-soo, the founder of Samulnori. It is expected this study will be helpful in understanding Samulnori learning and will be meaningful materials that can be used as a reference in school settings.

본 연구는 음악교과서에 수록된 사물놀이의 학습 내용과 시각적 학습자료 등을 검토하고 그 개선방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 사물놀이의 학습 목표는 ‘연주하다’와 ‘합주하다’에 국한되어 있었다. 사물 악기의 음색 및 소리의 어울림, 창의적 표현 등이 학습 목표에 제시되어 사물놀이 학습의 내용이 더 확장되길 바란다. 둘째, 음악교과서에 설명된 사물놀이 정의의 내용은 현재 통용되고 있는 설명이 아니라, 정확한 사실들이 전달되어야 한다. 셋째, 인사 굿의 악보에서 징의 연주가 교과서의 출판사마다 상이하다. 사물놀이 창시자인 김덕수와의 인터뷰를 통해 징은 1박과 3박에 연주되어야 하며 모든 연주가 끝난 후 마지막 징은 치지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 교과서에는 정확한 악보 수록이 필요하다. 넷째, 별달거리는 사물 장단과 말장단으로 구성된 곡이다. 말장단의 용어와 내용이 명확하 게 제시되어야 하며, 말장단은 창작학습 활동으로 이어질 수 있다. 다섯째, 교과서에 사물놀이 연주 복장에 대한 시각 자료와 설명이 부족하였다. 시각 학습 자료는 학습의 효과를 높일 수 있으므로 바른 자료와 설명이 제시되길 바란다. 본 연구를 위해 음악교과서에 수록된 사물놀이 학습의 내용 중 검증이 필요한 부분은 사물놀 이 창시자인 김덕수와의 인터뷰를 통해 그 내용을 확인하였다. 본 연구가 사물놀이 학습에 대 한 이해에 도움이 되길 바라며, 학교 현장에서 참고할 수 있는 의미 있는 자료가 되길 바란다.
