This paper aims to present John Dewey's empiricist educational philosophy and then critically examine the current AI education system in South Korea to suggest developmental directions. John Dewey saw the ideal democratic society as one in which community members lead a life of continuous growth through education, and he emphasized the role of individual and world interaction in education. Current AI education is unbalanced in terms of content, focusing only on the usefulness of the technology itself, and in terms of methodology, lacking in connection with other subjects and failing to create an environment where students can experience sufficient interaction. Based on these problems, this paper analyzes the current public education system for artificial intelligence and suggests development directions for holistic AI education.

본 논문은 존 듀이의 경험주의 교육철학을 제시한 후, 현행 대한민 국 인공지능 교육 체계를 비판적으로 검토하여 발전적인 방향을 제시 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 존 듀이는 민주사회 속 공동체 구성원들이 교 육을 통해 지속적으로 성장하는 삶을 영위하는 것을 이상적인 민주사 회의 모습으로 보고 개인과 세계의 상호작용이 교육에서 차지하는 역 할을 특히 강조하였다. 현재의 인공지능 교육은 내용적 측면에서는 기 술 자체의 유용성에만 치중되어 있어 불균형적이며, 방법론적 측면에 서는 다른 교과와의 연계가 부족하고 충분한 상호작용을 경험할만한 환경을 조성하지 못한다는 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 현행 인공지능 공교육 체계를 분석하고 전인적 인공지능 교육을 위한 발전 방향을 제언한다
