This study takes into account the possibility of distance learning and remote life guidance after COVID-19, Considering the implementation of life guidance and counseling during vacation, preparation for the outbreak of a new pandemic, and the characteristics of recent elementary school students who are familiar with digital devices and platforms, we developed a class-level group counseling program using the Metaverse platform and attempted to verify its effectiveness. Based on prior research on class cohesion and empathy group counseling programs and metaverse-based life guidance and counseling research, a 10-session program was developed in five stages: intimacy formation, self-understanding, understanding others, relationship formation, and closure, and was completed through review by a group of experts. One class of 4th grade elementary school students whose homogeneity was confirmed was used as the experimental group, and one class was used as the control group, and the program was applied for 2 months. The ‘ZEP EDU’ metaverse platform map was constructed and applied, and after application, statistical verification of class cohesion and empathy was conducted. As a result of the study, first, the class-level group counseling program using the Metaverse platform showed a statistically significant difference in students' class cohesion, and there was a statistically significant difference in the sub-elements of class atmosphere and communication elements. Second, for empathy ability, the independent samples t-test results were not significant, but the paired samples t-test results showed that the average of all sub-factors increased. Third, in the follow-up test four weeks after the test, it was confirmed that both class cohesion and empathy were statistically significant. Fourth, through student data collected during the application and completion stages of the program, it was confirmed that relationships were improved, a sense of belonging and unity among members was enhanced, and attachment to the class was improved.

본 연구는 코로나19 이후 원격수업과 원격 생활지도의 가능성을 염두에 두고, 방학 중 생활지도 및 상담 의 실시, 새로운 팬데믹 발생에 대한 대비, 디지털 기기와 플랫폼에 익숙한 최근 초등학생의 특성을 고려 하여 메타버스플랫폼을 활용한 학급단위 집단상담 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 학 급응집력 및 공감능력 집단상담프로그램 관련 선행연구와 메타버스 기반 생활지도 및 상담 선행연구를 바 탕으로, 친밀감 형성, 자기이해, 타인이해, 관계형성, 마무리의 5단계 10회기의 프로그램을 개발하고, 전문 가 집단의 검토를 통해 완성하였다. 4학년의 동질성이 확인된 1개 학급을 실험집단, 1개 학급을 통제집단 으로 하여, 2개월간 프로그램을 적용하였다. ‘ZEP EDU’ 메타버스 플랫폼 맵을 구성하여 적용하였으며, 적 용 후 학급응집력과 공감능력에 대한 통계적 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 메타버스플랫폼 활용 학 급단위 집단상담 프로그램은 학생들의 학급응집력에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 하위요소인 학급분위기와 의사소통요소가 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 공감능력은 독립표본 t검증 결과 는 유의미하지 않았으나, 대응표본 t검증 결과는 모든 하위요소의 평균이 상승하였다. 셋째, 검사 4주 뒤 추수검사에서는 학급응집력과 공감능력이 모두 통계적으로 유의미함을 확인하였다. 넷째, 프로그램의 적용 과정과 마무리 단계에서 수집된 학생 자료를 통해, 관계 개선, 구성원 간 소속감과 일체감 증진, 학급에 대한 애착 등이 향상되었음을 확인하였다.
