Baek Yong-seong(白龍城) dedicated himself to restoring the tradition of Korean Buddhism and establishing his identity during the modern period. His thoughts are contained on the Daegakseon(大覺禪), and for that practice, a Samjang Yeokhoe(三藏譯會, the Association for Translation of the Tripiṭaka) was organized and the scriptures were translated into Korean and distributed. Since Daegakhoe(大覺會) is an organization that has continued Baek Yong-seong’s social practice, the data of Daegakhoe contain such historical evidence. This discussion looked at digitalizing the data of the Diagonal Conference in the era of digital transformation and laying the foundation for establishing the identity of Korean Buddhism through archiving. First, the results of the project to publish ‘A Collection of the Great Master Baek Yong-Seong’, which was carried out for five years from 2013, were examined to lay the groundwork for the discussion. Next, the process and achievements of the ‘Daegakhoe Data Digitalization Project’ carried out since 2021 were discussed. Through this discussion, the author proposed building a . The tasks for this are, first, establishment of a long-term master plan for the continuous management and operation of Daegakhoe cultural heritage, second, establishment of a foundation for sustainable archive operation, third, implementation of scalability to cope with changes in media, and fourth, introduction of oral history that will contain the historical and social expansion of Daegak ideology, fifthly, standardization and openness for ‘Linked Open Data’, and sixthly, ensuring sharing and openness of content, etc. were proposed. This discussion aims to contribute to social diffusion through diagonal practice in the era of digital transformation.

백용성 대종사는 근대 시기 한국불교의 전통을 회복하고 정체성을 확립 하기 위해 헌신하였다. 그의 사상은 대각선에 담겨 있고, 그 실천을 위해 삼장역회를 조직해 경전을 우리말로 번역해 유포하였다. 대각회는 백용성 대종사의 사회적 실천을 이어온 조직이므로, 대각회의 자료에는 그러한 역 사적 증거가 담겨져 있다. 본 논의는 디지털 전환의 시대에 대각회 자료를 전산화하고 아카이빙을 통해 한국불교 정체성 확립의 기초를 다지는 것에 대해 살펴보았다. 먼저 2013년부터 5년 동안 수행한 『백용성 대종사 총서』 간행 사업의 성과를 살펴보아 논의의 단초를 마련하였다. 다음으로 2021년부터 수행한 ‘대각회 자료 전산화 사업’의 과정과 성과를 논의하였다. 본 논의를 통해서 논자는 <대각회 아카이브>를 구축할 것을 제안하였다. 이를 위한 과제로 첫째 대각회 문화유산의 지속적인 관리와 운영의 장기 적인 마스터플랜 수립, 둘째 지속 가능한 아카이브 운영 기반 마련, 셋째 매체 변화에 대처할 수 있는 확장성 구현, 넷째 대각사상의 역사적 사회적 확장을 담을 구술사의 도입, 다섯째 ‘개방형 연결 데이터’를 위한 표준화와 개방성, 여섯째 콘텐츠의 공유와 개방을 보장할 것 등을 제안하였다. 본 논의를 디지털 전환의 시대에 대각선의 실천을 통한 사회적 확산에 이바지하고자 한다.
