This article examines the composition and contents of the Gungwajip(窮窩集), a collection of writings by Gungwa Park Gyu-mun, and explores the poet's daily life and life orientation in the works included in the collection. Gungwa was a literary figure who was active in the 17th and 18th centuries, and was considered one of the "three great men of Gyeyang Mountain(桂陽三豪傑)". Gungwajip(窮窩集), which is believed to have been handwritten by Gungwa in his old age when he retired to the countryside, contains more than 500 Chinese poems that he created. Most of the poems are directly related to real-life conditions and express the specifics of real life. Noting that the works in the collection reveal the reality of the poet's life in his old age and his inner experiences, this article analyzes the aspects of life that appear in the poems and the poets' perceptions or responses to them. Gungwa was determined to pursue austerity in the midst of material poverty, and he overcame his chronic illness by writing and enjoying poetry. In his solitary life, he sincerely expressed his longing and feelings for others, and he used his palatial and modest abode as a spatial background and symbol for his philosophique life. Gungwajip and Park Gyu-mun's poetry have never been the subject of a full-scale study. This article is an attempt to broaden the scope of Korean literary studies by accessing and analyzing new literary figures and materials that have been hidden in the realm of research.

이 글은 궁와(窮窩) 박규문(朴奎文)의 문집인 『궁와집(窮窩集)』의 구성과 내용을 개관하고, 수록 작품에 나타난 시인의 일상과 삶의 지향에 대하여 탐구한 것이다. 궁와는 17~18세기에 활동한 문인으로, 계양산 일대에서 활동하며 ‘계양삼호걸(桂陽三豪傑)’ 중 한 사람으로 꼽혔던 인물이다. 노년기 궁와가 전원으로 물러나 생활하며 손수 엮었을 것으로 추정되는 『궁와집』에는 그가 창작한 500여 수의 한시가 수록되어 있다. 주로 현실의 여건과 직접적으로 관련되어 있는 시들, 실생활의 구체적 모습을 표현한 시들이 수록되어 있다. 『궁와집』의 작품들에 시인의 노년기 생활의 실상과 그에 따른 내적 체험이 드러나 있다는 점에 주목하여, 시에 나타난 삶의 양상 및 그에 대한 시인의 인식과 대응을 분석해 보고자 하였다. 궁와는 물질적 곤궁함 속에서 청빈을 추구하는 뜻을 견지하였고, 만성적인 병고를 시를 짓고 즐기는 일로써 극복하였다. 고독한 생활 속에서 타자를 향한 그리움과 정의를 진솔하게 표현하였고, 궁벽하고 적요한 거처를 달관적 삶에 어울리는 공간적 배경이자 상징으로 삼았다. 『궁와집』과 박규문의 한시는 그동안 본격적인 연구의 대상이 된 적이 없었다. 이 글은 그동안 연구의 영역에 드러나지 않았던 새로운 문인과 자료에 접근하여 분석함으로써 한시 문학 연구의 외연을 넓히고자 한 시도라 할 수 있다.
