As a result of the rapidly changing society and the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the interest in health and health is increasing, and the bio and medical industries are also rapidly changing. In addition, the birth of the biomedical industry and the industrial ecosystem are rapidly changing, such as BT and IT convergence, the expansion of the digital healthcare market, and the promotion of new and biomedical development using big data. In order to occupy a leading position in the growing biomedical industry market, a cluster area is needed more to induce exchanges and synergies between companies. There is no research to grasp the perception of companies by focusing on the biomedical industry in terms of attracting the urban industry, and it is time to grasp this and come up with an overall strategy such as revitalizing the city and attracting the industry. In light of this situation, it is a study on deriving implications for the location policy of the biomedical industry to attract companies and play a leading role in creating a biomedical cluster in Siheung-si, which is competitive in the metropolitan area.

급변하는 사회와 코로나 19로 인한 펜데믹을 겪으며 높아진 건강보건에 대한 관심도가 증가 하고 이에 따라 바이오산업과 메디컬 산업 또한 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 또한 BTㆍIT 융합, 디지털 헬스케어시장의 확대, 빅데이터를 활용한 신약 및 바이오메디컬 개발촉진 등 바이오메디컬산업의 태동과 산업생태계가 빠르게 변화하고 있는 상황이다. 성장해가 는 바이오메디컬산업 시장에서의 선도적 위치를 점유하기 위하여 기업 간 교류와 시너지 효과를 이끌어내기 위한 클러스터지역이 더욱 필요한 실정이다. 도시산업의 유치측면에 서 바이오 메디컬 산업 측면에서 초점을 맞추어 기업체의 인식을 파악하는 연구는 부재하 며, 이를 파악하여 도시의 활성화와 산업의 유치 등의 전반적인 전략을 마련하는 것이 필요한 시점이다. 이러한 정세에 비추어봤을 때 수도권 경쟁력을 가지고 있는 시흥시 지역에 바이오메디컬 클러스터를 조성하기 위해 기업 유치와 선도적 역할을 위한 바이오 메디컬 산업의 입지정책에 대한 시사점 도출에 관한 연구이다.
