Closed schools are being managed in various ways, including sale, lease, demolition, and utilization, but in-depth discussions are needed that take into account the mental and physical health of youth and the local situation. Accordingly, in this study, closed schools in Gyeonggi-do can be used as forest schools, camping type, and smart farms for physical health. In addition, it was suggested that for mental health, it can be used as a space such as a meditation center, complex arts psychological counseling center, edu-healing center, and complex play culture center. In addition, the policy recommendations of this study are as follows. First, in order to utilize the closed school for educational purposes, residents, the Office of Educational Support, and the Office of Education need to organize a space for the minds and bodies of students through a comprehensive plan. Second, efforts are required to support the use of space based on creative ideas and technologies in connection with community-based companies and local governments. Third, closed schools are often located at significant distances from downtown or major living areas. Therefore, in the case of administrative management entities such as complex art psychological counseling centers, complex play centers, meditation centers, and healing centers, branches of existing centers can be opened. Lastly, in order to implement this, careful analysis is needed to continuously secure the budget.

폐교는 매각, 임대, 철거, 활용 등 다양하게 관리되고 있으나 청소년들의 정 신건강과 신체건강 및 지역의 상황을 고려한 심도 있는 논의가 필요하다. 이 에 본 연구에서는 경기도 내 폐교를 청소년의 정신건강과 신체건강을 중심으로 신체건강을 위해서는 숲학교, 캠핑형, 스마트팜의 공간으로 사용할 수 있다. 또한 정신건강을 위해서는 명상센터, 복합예술심리상담센터, 에듀힐링센 터, 복합놀이문화센터 등의 공간으로 사용할 수 있다고 제시하였다. 이와 함께 이 연구의 정책적 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 폐교의 교육적 활용을 위해 주민과 교육지원청, 교육청이 종합계획을 통해 학생들의 정 신과 신체를 위한 공간 구성이 필요하다. 둘째, 지역사회 기반 기업과 지 자체와 연계하여 창의적인 아이디어와 기술을 기반으로 공간을 활용 할 수 있도록 지원하는 노력이 요구된다. 셋째, 폐교는 도심지에서 거리가 상 당하거나 주요 생활권에서 거리가 먼 경우가 많다. 따라서 복합예술심리 상담센터나 복합놀이센터, 명상센터, 힐링센터 등의 행정관리의 주체의 경우 기존 센터에 대한 분원을 개소해볼 수 있다. 마지막으로 이를 구현하 기 위해서는 예산 지속적 확보를 위한 면밀한 분석이 필요하다.
