This study examined the vocational forestry curriculum implementation in specialized high schools with a focus on the perspectives of teachers, administrators, and students. The research aimed to identify the obstacles faced in the curriculum implementation and the strategies used to overcome them. Data were collected through document analysis, in-depth interviews, and participant observation. The results showed that the curriculum implementation faced challenges, such as lack of resources and inadequate infrastructure, as well as difficulties in motivating and engaging students. The findings suggest that the forestry curriculum needs to be reorganized with a sustainability focus rather than solely relying on a vocational education framework.

본 연구는 특성화고등학교의 산림 관련 직업 교과과정 운영과정을 교원과 학생의 관점에서 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 각각의 연구 참여자들이 교육과정 운영 과정에 있어서 마주하는 어려움과 이를 극복하기 위해 각각 어떠한 전략을 활용하였는지를 도출하는 것이다. 연구자들 은 산림 직업 교육과정과 관련 자료 분석, 개별 심층 인터뷰 및 참여관찰을 통해 자료를 수집하 였다. 자료 분석 결과에 따르면 운영 자원 부족, 인프라 부족, 학생들에게 동기를 부여하고 참여 시키는 어려움 등으로 인해 교육과정 운영의 어려움을 겪고 있었으며, 연구 참여자들은 공통적 으로 환경 변화와 산림 정책의 변화 등을 긍정적으로 인지하고 변화를 모색하고 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 산림교육과정이 직업교육 틀에만 의존하기보다는 지속가능성에 초점을 맞춰 재편될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
