This study analyzed the effect of annual administrative workload on teachers' perceived satisfaction with their relationships with students using OLS and 2SLS estimates using data from middle schools from the Gyeonggi School Education Survey 2021. The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant decrease in teachers' perceived satisfaction with their relationships with students as the amount of administrative workload increases. The significance of this study is that it confirms the need for policy efforts to reduce teacher administrative workload, which is likely to be a negative factor in teacher-student relationships. In addition, the findings of this study suggest that local education departments should operate the school work normalization policy at a more field-oriented and practical level to strengthen teacher-student interaction through the policy, thereby achieving the essential purpose of education. We hope to strengthen the legitimacy of the Administrative Workload Reduction Policy for Teacher through improvements in data collection related to teacher administrative work and continuous empirical research, and to operate the policy effectively in a field-centered manner.

본 연구는 경기학교교육실태조사 2021년 중학교 데이터를 활용하여 평교사, 보직교사 구분 에 따라 연간 수행한 행정업무량이 교사 개인이 인식하는 학생과의 관계에서의 만족도에 미 치는 영향을 OLS 추정과 2SLS 추정을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 평교사, 보직교사, 합 산 분석 모두 교사행정업무량이 증가할 때마다 교사가 인식하는 학생과의 관계에 대한 만족 도가 통계적으로 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 교사와 학생 간의 관계에 부정적 요인으로 작용할 가능성이 있는 교원행정업무 의 경감을 위한 정책적 노력이 지속되어야 할 당위성을 확보하였다는 것에 의의가 있다. 그 리고 이러한 연구 결과는 학교업무정상화 정책을 보다 현장 중심의 실제적 차원에서 운영함 으로써 정책을 통해 교사·학생 간 상호작용 강화를 도모하고, 이를 바탕으로 교육의 본질적인 목적 달성이 이루어지도록 해야함을 의미한다. 추후 교사행정업무와 관련된 데이터 수집 측 면에서의 개선 및 지속적인 실증연구를 통해 교원행정업무 경감 정책의 당위성이 강화되고, 현장 중심적 측면에서 정책이 실효성 있게 운영되기를 기대한다.
