This study was conducted to understand the trend of test instruments used in music therapy research for the elderly with dementia in Korea. A total of 73 academic journals and thesis papers published from 1997 to August 2021 were selected according to the selection criteria. The data analyzed the total number and frequency of test instruments used in the analysis paper, the number and frequency of test instruments for each purpose of use (subject selection, effect verification, descriptive survey), trends by age, and the number and frequency of test tools by evaluation area. Using IBM SPSS Statistics 25, the analysis data was statistically processed into frequency analysis, multiple response frequency analysis, and multiple response cross-analysis. As a result of the study, a total of 82 instruments were used 209 times, and according to the purpose of use, they were classified into subject selection, effectiveness verification, and descriptive surveys. From the beginning to recently, the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE) type was the most frequently and continuously used, with a higher rate than the effectiveness test in the selection of subjects. This indicates that more various test tools were used than the selection of subjects in effectiveness verification. As a result of the analysis by evaluation area, cognitive domain test instruments were most frequently used in all subjects selection, effectiveness verification, and descriptive surveys and psychological emotions were also heavily used in effectiveness verification. Through the results of the study, we would like to present basic data for the selection and utilization of test instruments in clinical and research on music therapy for the elderly with dementia.

본 연구는 국내 치매노인 음악치료연구에 사용된 측정도구의 동향을 파악하기 위해 시행되었다. 1997년부터 2021년 8월까지의 학술지논문과 학위논문 중 선정기준에 따라 총 73편이 선정되었다. 자료 분석은 분석논문에서 사용된 측정도구 총수와 사용빈도, 각 사용목적별 측정도구 수와 빈도, 연대별 추이, 평가영역별 측정도구 수와 빈도의 항목이 분석되었다. 분석 자료는 IBM SPSS Statistics 25를 사용하여 빈도분석과 다중응답빈도분석, 그리고 다중응답교차분석으로 통계 처리하 였다. 연구결과, 측정도구는 총 82개로 209회 사용되었고, 사용목적은 대상자선정, 효과검증, 기술 조사로 분류되었다. 초기부터 최근까지 간이정신상태검사(Mini-Mental State Examination: MMSE) 유형이 가장 많이, 그리고 지속적으로 사용되었는데, 대상자선정에서 효과검증보다 더 높은 비율로 사용되었다. 이는 효과검증에서 대상자선정보다 더 다양한 측정도구가 사용되었음을 시사한다. 평가 영역별 분석 결과, 인지영역 측정도구가 대상자선정, 효과검증, 기술조사 모두에서 가장 많이 사용 되었고, 효과검증에서는 심리정서영역 측정도구도 비중있게 사용되었다. 본 연구는 연구결과를 통해 치매노인의 음악치료 임상 및 연구에서 측정도구의 선정 및 활용을 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 의의를 둔다.
