As with recent attempts to make movies based on novels, dramas, or true stories, there are many cases where one genre is expanded and reproduced into various contents, and culture and arts receive great interest and love from the public. The appearance of Korea's first original musical film, , is an expanded concept of total art. From the point of view of popular culture and art convergence, it continues to develop in a free form such as original composition, structural reinforcement, and diversification of expression methods. Accordingly, based on Wagner's total art, the researcher compared and analyzed each change and effect that occurred through the mixing of complex styles between genres while crossing each other from an artistic convergence perspective. The positive effects are 1) adding a spectacular war scene, 2) composing a new number to help the heroine appear more likely, 3) linking the story of the main character's family for a touching narrative, 4) strengthening the narrative structure through adaptation of the scenario, 5) The work was reinterpreted in five elements, including the materialization of the character's inner world, through the full use of the camera technique. On the other hand, The negative effects include 1) deterioration in the completion of the work due to the absence of professional musical actors, 2) reduction of musical numbers due to excessive cinematic interpretation, 3) ambiguity in the identity of the original genre due to the exclusion of musical choreography, 4) failure to arouse dramatic atmosphere due to lack of understanding of musical genre characteristics, and 5) tension in highlight scenes and inhibition of immersion. This means that artistic works based on creative musicals are recreated with cinematic techniques through genre transition, and at the same time, the integration and growth of various art genres. The expansion of composite art, which will be reborn as the art of modern popular culture, means not only the fusion of art and human beings but also the expansion of its territory as a means of communication connecting the existing world and future society.

최근 소설이나 드라마, 또는 실화를 바탕으로 영화화되는 시도와 같이, 하나의 장르가 다양한 콘텐츠 로 확대 재생산되어 문화예술이 대중에게 큰 관심과 사랑을 받는 경우가 많다. 국내 최초 오리지널 뮤지 컬영화 <영웅>의 등장은 총체 예술의 확장된 개념으로써 대중문화예술융합의 관점에서 독창적 구성, 구 조적 강화 및 표현방식의 다양화 등 자유로운 형식으로 발전을 거듭하며 그에 따른 순기능 및 역기능을 보여주었다. 이에 연구자는 바그너의 총체 예술을 바탕으로 서로의 장르를 넘나들면서 장르 간 복합 양 식의 혼합을 통해 일어나는 각각의 변화와 효과에 대하여 예술 융합적 관점에서 비교 분석하였다. 긍정 적 효과로는 1) 장대한 전쟁 장면의 추가, 2) 여주인공의 등장 개연성을 돕기 위한 새로운 넘버 작곡, 3) 감동적 서사를 위한 주인공 가족의 스토리 연계, 4) 시나리오 각색을 통한 서사적 구조 강화, 5) 카메라기 법의 충분한 활용으로 인물의 내면세계 구체화 등 다섯 가지 요소로 작품을 재해석하였다. 이와 달리, 부 정적 효과로는 1) 전문 뮤지컬배우 부재로 인한 작품 완성도 저하, 2) 지나친 영화적 관점 해석에 따른 뮤지컬 넘버 축소와 3) 뮤지컬 안무 배제로 인한 원작 장르의 정체성 모호함, 4) 뮤지컬 장르적 특성 이 해 부족에 따른 극적 분위기 환기의 실패와 5) 하이라이트 장면의 긴장감 및 몰입감 저해 등 다섯 가지 요소로 고찰하였다. 이는 창작 뮤지컬을 원작으로 한 예술작품이 장르 전이를 통해 영화적 기법으로 재 창출되는 동시에 다양한 예술 장르의 통합과 성장을 의미한다. 이에 연구자는 국내 초연부터 현재까지 시즌마다 꾸준히 평단과 관객의 호평을 끌어내는 한국창작 뮤지컬이 타 장르인 영화 매체로 융합 전이될 때에 일어나는 변화에 대하여 비교하고 분석해 보고자 한다. 더불어 국내 문화예술계에서 기피 시 되는 뮤지컬을 원작으로 한 전문 뮤지컬 영화화의 예술융합에 따른 원작과의 차이점 및 순기능과 역기능 등 생산적이고 발전적인 논의를 펼쳐보는데 그 목표가 있다.
