The purpose of this study is to explore and present the fundamentals for practicing character education in future education. The research method focused on future character education and attempted to interpret and utilize literature on the era of artificial intelligence, future education, and character education. In Chapter Ⅱ, the research content of this paper looked for the factors of change in character education in future education. Based on Chapter Ⅱ, Chapter Ⅲ discussed what the foundation of future character education should be. In Chapter Ⅳ, points to be considered in the design of future character education were explored in connection with Chapters Ⅱ and Ⅲ. In this paper, I insist that with the advent of the artificial intelligence era, it is time for character education to become a new central area of future education, taking future generations into consideration. I suggested that character education should be designed so that future generations can maintain the unique human nature and abilities that differentiate them from artificial intelligence.

이 연구는 미래교육에서 인성교육의 기초가 되어야 할 것들을 탐색 해서 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 미래의 인성교육에 초점을 두고 인공지능시대, 사이버공간의 확장, 미래교육, 인성교육 관련 문헌 들을 해석하고 활용하고자 했다. 이 논문의 연구내용은 Ⅱ장에서는 미 래교육에서 인성교육의 변화요인을 찾아보았다. Ⅱ장을 바탕으로 해서 Ⅲ장에서는 미래교육에서 인성교육의 토대가 무엇이 되어야 할지에 대 해서 논하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅱ장과 Ⅲ장과 연관시켜 미래교육에 주안 점을 두는 인성교육의 설계에서 고려할 점들에 대해 탐색하였다. 본 논문에서는 인공지능시대가 되면서 인성교육도 미래세대들을 고려하여 새롭게 미래교육의 중심 영역으로 자리매김해야 할 때가 되었다고 본 다. 미래세대들이 인공지능과 차별화되는 인간 고유의 자질과 능력을 지켜나갈 수 있도록 인성교육이 설계되어야 함을 제언하였다.
