This paper explores the alignment between Heidegger's notion of the authentic self in Being and Time and the Western concept of freedom, and examines whether there is room for the presence of others in the process of b ecoming a n a uthenti c s elf. W i th s peci fi c f ocus o n t he c oncept o f individuation within Heidegger's authenticity, this paper reveals the connection between the authentic self and the notion of freedom. This analysis shows the tension that arises between the process of authentic self-becoming and coexistence with others. Additionally, the paper deals with responses addressing the challenge of the perception that Heidegger's authentic self lacks a relationship with others. By reviewing interpretations that question this perception, I argue that authentic Dasein, as a beingin- the-world, has a relationship wi th others, but this relationship is distinct from the process of becoming one's authentic self.

본 논문은 하이데거의 『존재와 시간』에서 그려진 본래적인 자기가 어느 정도까지 서양적 자유의 이념에 가까이 있는지를 탐구하면서, 본래적인 자기됨의 과정에 타자의 자리는 있는 지에 대해 다룬다. 본고는 특히 본래성 개념에서 개별화의 계기에 주목하면서 본래적인 자 기와 자유의 이념 사이의 연결점을 드러내며, 그럼으로써 본래적인 자기됨과 타자의 존재 사이의 긴장을 파악한다. 본고는 하이데거의 본래적인 자기에는 타자와의 관계가 결여되어 있다는 문제제기에 맞서는 해석들을 검토하면서, 본래적인 현존재도 세계-내-존재로서 타 자와의 관계를 갖지만, 그 본래적인 자기됨의 과정 자체에는 타자가 속하지 않는다는 것을 논한다.
