The purpose of this study is to seek policy suggestions on how to revitalize successful community security through the participation of citizens who can determine the success or failure of community security. For the purpose of this study, I would like to consider it from the perspective of an empirical study targeting citizens who are in a subjective position in community security. For this research purpose, frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, T-test and ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed. Based on the analysis results, this study intends to make the following policy suggestions to revitalize public order in the community. First, it is necessary to improve the reliability of the police. In order to improve police reliability, it is necessary to activate regular police education. Second, the participation of local residents should be activated. In order to vitalize the participation of residents, it is necessary to activate various police publicity and provide various incentives. Third, it is necessary to activate autonomous security guards. In order to revitalize the autonomous security guards, it is necessary to improve the professionalism of the autonomous security guards and provide practical incentives for the autonomous guards. Fourth, it is necessary to develop various policies for the socially underprivileged. As a result of the study, traffic safety and child safety were found to be the most urgently needed safety areas.

본 연구의 목적은 공동체 치안의 성패를 결정할 수 있는 시민들의 참여를 통해 성공 적인 공동체 치안의 활성화 방안에 대한 정책적인 제언을 모색함에 있다. 이 같은 연구 목적을 위해 공동체 치안의 주관적인 위치에 있는 시민들을 대상으로 한 실증적인 연 구의 관점에서 고찰하고자 한다. 이 같은 연구목적을 위해 전국 성인 남녀 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석과 기술분석, 요인분석(factor analysis), 신뢰도 분 석(reliability analysis), T-test와 ANOVA, 피어슨 상관관계 분석, 회귀(Regression) 분 석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 분석 결과를 토대로 공동체 치안 활성화를 위해 다음과 같이 정책제언을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 경찰 신뢰도 향상이 필요하다. 경찰 신뢰도 향상을 위해서는 정기적인 경찰교 육의 활성화가 필요하다. 둘째, 지역주민들의 참여가 활성화 되어야 한다. 주민들의 참여 활성화를 위해서는 다양한 경찰 홍보의 활성화와 다양한 인센티브의 제공이 필요하다. 셋째, 자율방범대의 활성화가 필요하다. 자율방범대의 활성화를 위해서는 자율방범 대의 전문성 제고 방안과 자율방범대원들에 대한 실질적인 인센티브 제공이 필요하다. 넷째, 사회적 약자에 대한 다양한 정책의 개발이 필요하다. 연구 결과 가장 시급히 개선되어야 할 안전 분야로 교통안전과 어린이 안전이 가장 높게 나타났다.
