The purpose of this study is to explore what drug addicts experience in recovery from drug addiction. To this end, a qualitative meta-analysis was conducted that systematically analyzed qualitative studies on the recovery of drug addicts conducted in Korea. The papers to be analyzed are 18 research papers from domestic academic journals that conducted qualitative research on the subject of recovery experience from drug addiction. The recovery process experience of drug addicts was derived through the data coding and categories of the papers to be analyzed, mutual comparison and analysis among individual studies, and the process of deriving results. The analysis data was analyzed and presented in terms of technical themes, comprehensive themes, and core themes. Key themes are from addicts to living people, practicing self-directed healing rituals, honesty in a low position, optimism for the future, building a bridge back to the world, honest healing work, recovery of hidden inner self, overcoming the past and leaping into the future, discovering with support. appeared as a new land, etc. Lastly, the recovery of drug addicts was discussed focusing on the key theme. Based on this, a plan to transform correctional facilities into a treatment community, establishment of a systematic support system in the community, and practice of case management were proposed.

본 연구의 목적은 마약류 중독자가 마약 중독에서 회복에 이르는 과정에서 어떠한 경험을 하였는지 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내에서 수행된 마약류 중독자들의 회복을 주제로 한 질적 연구를 체계적으로 분석한 질적 메타 분석하였다. 분석대상 논문은 마약 중독에서 회복 경험을 주제로 질적 연구를 수행한 국내 학술지(KCI등재지) 연구 논문 17편이다. 자료 분석 은 논문의 자료 코딩 및 범주, 개별 연구간 상호비교⋅분석, 결과 도출 과정을 거쳐 마약 중 독자의 회복과정에서 경험을 도출하였다. 분석한 자료는 기술적 주제와 종합적 주제 그리고 핵심 주제로 분석하여 제시하였다. 핵심 주제는 중독자에서 생활인으로, 자기 주도적 치유의 례 실천, 낮은 자리에서의 정직, 미래 낙관성, 세상으로 돌아가는 다리 놓기, 정직한 치유 작 업, 숨어 있던 속사람의 회복, 과거를 딛고 미래로 도약, 지지로 발견한 새로운 대지 등으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 핵심 주제를 중심으로 마약류 중독자들의 회복에 대해 논의하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 근거하여 교정시설을 치료 공동체로 전환하는 방안과 지역사회에서의 체계적 인 지지 체계 시스템 구축과 사례 관리 실천을 제시했다.
