- Objectives: To systematically review the job analysis of coordinators in Korean medical institutions. Methods: Related articles published in Korean were collected from a search term database. Results: The review included 13 articles and nine medical coordinators. New coordinators are constantly emerging at medical institutions. Although coordinators have similar titles, their qualification criteria and roles differ. Some coordinators perform medical practice, and others do not. Most job analyses of the coordinators were conducted to reduce confusion by clarifying their duties. Conclusions: When similar titles exist within the same medical institution, there is potential for job confusion and compromised patient safety. It is imperative to establish clear distinctions between the titles of the medical and non-medical coordinators.
