This study was conducted as a single case study to find out the effect of art therapy on self-expression and sociality of adolescent with autism spectrum disorder. The subject of this study is a 15-year-old male student with autism spectrum disorder level 2. Changes in self-expression and sociality were qualitatively analyzed through session and step-by-step observations, self-expression test and K-HTP were performed before and after to find out changes in self-expression in an adolescent with autism spectrum disorder, social skills rating system and KSD were performed before and after to compare and analyze changes in sociality. As a result, it was found that verbal and non-verbal self-expression and sociality were improved in session and step-by-step observation. In addition, the score of self-expression increased slightly in the post-test, and in the post-K-HTP, it showed expanded self-expression than the pre-test. In addition, the social skills rating system score increased slightly in the post-test, and the perception of school, oneself, and teacher in the post-KSD showed a clearer expression than the pre-KSD. As a result of the above, it was found that art therapy had a slightly positive effect on self-expression and sociality of an adolescent with autism spectrum disorder. This study is meaningful as an art therapy research case that positively affected the self-expression and sociality of an adolescent with autism spectrum disorder.

본 연구는 미술치료가 자폐스펙트럼장애 청소년의 자기표현과 사회성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 단일사례로 진행하였다. 연구 대상은 자폐스펙트럼장애 2급의 만 15세 남 학생이다. 자폐스펙트럼장애 청소년의 자기표현에서의 변화를 알아보기 위해 회기 및 단 계별 관찰을 통해 자기표현과 사회성의 변화를 질적 분석하였고, 자기표현력 검사와 K-HTP를 사전, 사후로 수행하였으며, 사회성의 변화를 알아보기 위해 사회성 기술 평정 척도 검사와 KSD를 사전, 사후로 수행하여 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 회기 및 단계별 관 찰에서 언어적, 비언어적 자기표현과 사회성이 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 자기표현력 점수가 사후에 소폭 증가하였고, 사후 K-HTP에서 사전 검사보다 확장된 자기표현을 나 타냈다. 더불어, 사회성 기술 평정 척도 점수가 사후에 소폭 증가하였고, 사후 KSD에서 학교, 자신, 교사에 대한 인식이 사전 검사보다 좀 더 명확해진 표현을 보여주었다. 이상 의 결과로 미술치료가 자폐스펙트럼장애 청소년의 자기표현과 사회성에 소폭이지만 조금 은 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자폐스펙트럼장애 청소년의 자기표 현과 사회성에 긍정적 영향을 미친 미술치료 연구사례로서 의의가 있다.
