Corruption is a very important matter that determines the success or failure of an organization. Corrupt organizations lose trust and even the reason for their existence is questioned. Therefore, it is important to respond quickly to the problem of corruption in the organization to solve it and prevent recurrence. This study examines the current status of corruption in maritime police officials and proposes to prevent corruption in maritime police. First of all, it was confirmed that corruption in the non-executive ranks is on the rise recently, and the problem of abuse of power in the middle manager ranks and drunk driving is the most serious problem in the non-executive ranks. In addition, sexual misconduct is also revealed as one of the major problems. In order to solve these problems, the study made the following suggestions. First, it is necessary to strengthen the screening standards for the selection of new police officers and the curriculum to eliminate unqualified people and ensure that new police officers have the right public attitude. The second suggestion is to activate the whistle-blowing system. The third suggestion is to move away from lecture-based anti-corruption education and introduce measures to maximize effectiveness, such as role-playing and sensitivity training. Lastly, it is suggested that anti-corruption measures be applied in practice and that disciplinary standards be adapted to the public's eyes.

부패는 조직의 성패를 좌우하는 매우 중요한 사항이다. 부패한 조직은 신뢰를 잃 게 되고 조직의 존재 이유를 의심받게 된다. 그러므로 조직의 부패문제에 대해서는 신속하게 대응하여 이를 해결하고 재발하지 않도록 하는 것이 중요하다. 이 연구는 해양경찰공무원의 부패현황을 살펴보고 해양경찰의 부패 방지를 위한 제언을 하였다. 먼저 해양경찰은 비간부계급에서의 부패가 최근 증가하고 있는 추세 이며, 중간관리자 계급에서는 갑질문제가, 비간부계급에서는 음주운전이 가장 심각한 문제임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 성비위 역시 큰 문제 중 하나로 드러났다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 연구에서는 다음과 같은 제언을 실시하였다, 먼저 신임경찰의 선발과 교육과정의 심사기준을 강화하여 부적격자를 탈락시키고 신임 경찰공무원들이 올바른 공직관을 갖추도록 할 필요성이 있다. 두 번째는 내부비리신고 제도를 활성화 할 것을 제안하였다. 세 번째는 강의 위주의 부패예방 교육방식을 탈피하여 역할연기, 감수성 훈련 등 효과성을 극대화 할 수 있는 방안을 도입할 것을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 반부패 대책의 실제적인 적용 및 국민의 눈높이에 맞게 징계양정 기준을 적용할 것을 제안하였다.
