In this paper, a proposal for teaching activities to develop critical capabilities in novel creation through linked education between reading and writing was proposed. The class process was divided into reading and writing, and the process of reading was briefly presented in three stages: “Reading works by topic / Organizing commonalities and differences between the works / Creating novels and social problems in the 2020s related to the subject.” The main part of this paper is the teaching method of the process of writing. In the process of writing, a six-step class model was presented, such as “checking reading works by subject/collecting keywords/finding articles(news paper etc.)/making questions/exploring causes/exploring solutions by finding problems in real society.”

본고에서는 읽기와 쓰기의 연계 교육을 통해 소설창작의 비판적 역량을 키워나가는 교수 활동안을 제안하였다. 읽기와 쓰기로 수업 과정을 나누고, 읽기의 과정은 ‘주제별 작품 읽기/해당 작품들의 공통점과 차이점 정리/해당 주제와 관련된 2020년대 소설작품 창작과 사회문제 사유’의 세 단계로 간략하게 제시하였다. 본고에서 주안점을 둔 부분은 쓰기의 과정에 관한 교수법이다. 쓰기의 과정에서는 ‘주제별 작품 읽기 점검/키워드 수집하기/기사 찾기/현실 사회의 문제점 찾아 질문 만들기/원인 탐색하기/해결 방안 탐구하기’ 등의 여섯 단계로 이루어진 수업 모형을 제시하였다. 본고에서 제시한 교수 방안은 주제 설정의 측면이나, 학습 효율적인 측면에서 여전히 부족한 점이 존재한다. 이 점은 향후 수정과 보완을 거듭해나가면서 갱신되어야 할 것이다.
