The purpose of this study was to analyze the creative domain of the 2022 revised music curriculum, examine the patterns of change, and provide perspectives on the challenges to be addressed in implementing Korean music creative education. Based on the analysis of the creative domain of the 2022 revised music curriculum, this study summarizes the challenges for creative education in Korean music as follows. First, with the addition of the creative domain in the 2022 revised music curriculum, which emphasized the significance of creative education, the task was set as ‘emphasizing the educational significance through the establishment of goals for Korean music creative education. In this context, two objectives were proposed: ‘cultivating musical thinking through Korean music creative education’ and ‘enhancing the capacity as composers capable of expressing the improvisational nature of Korean music.’ Second, as Korean music elements were not explicitly stated in the achievement standards, and instead, comprehensive criteria related to musical elements were provided in the 2022 revised music curriculum, the task was set as ‘materializing Korean music creative activities related to musical elements.’ Third, in light of the explicit inclusion of achievement standards pertaining to notation and the emphasis on notation education in the creative area of the 2022 revised music curriculum, ‘systematizing notation education for Korean music creation’ was set as a task. This study has the significance of presenting the challenges and perspectives of Korean music creative education for the implementation of the 2022 revised music curriculum, In order to ensure that the value of Korean music as a source of creative inspiration continues to be utilized in the changing currents of time and that Korean music creative education fulfills its role in reaching the goals of music education, related discussions should be more advanced.

본 연구는 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정의 창작 영역을 분석하여 변화 양상을 검토하고, 국 악 창작교육을 구현함에 있어 해결해 나가야 할 과제와 이에 대한 관점을 제시하는 데 목적 을 두었다. 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정의 창작 영역 분석에 근거하여 설정한 국악 창작교육 의 과제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정에서 창작 영역을 신설하여 창작교육의 의미를 강조함에 따라 ‘국악 창작교육의 목표 설정을 통한 교육적 의미 강조’를 과제로 설정하고, 이에 대해 ‘국악 창작교육을 통한 음악적 사고력 함양’, ‘국악의 즉흥성을 표출할 수 있는 창작자로서의 역량 제고’의 두 가지 목표를 제안하였다. 둘째, 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정에서 국악 관련 요소를 성취기준에 명시하지 않고 음악 요소와 관련된 성취기준을 포괄적으로 제시하는 방 식을 취함에 따라 ‘음악 요소와 관련된 국악 창작 활동의 구체화’를 과제로 제시하였다. 셋째, 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정의 창작 영역에서 기보법에 관한 성취기준을 명시하고 기보법 교 육을 강조함에 따라 ‘국악 창작을 위한 기보 교육의 체계화’를 과제로 설정하였다. 본 연구는 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정의 적용에 앞서 국악 창작교육의 과제와 그에 대한 관점을 제시한 의의가 있다. 변화하는 시대 흐름에도 국악이 창작의 소재로서의 활용 가치가 지속되고 음악교육의 목표에 도달하는 데 국악 창작교육이 그 역할을 다 해나갈 수 있도록 이에 대한 논의를 진전시켜 나가야 할 것이다.
