The study was conducted to develop and validate a delinquency prevention education for early-youths. The delinquency prevention education was developed based on a preliminary analysis of prior research and an assessment of educational needs. The program underwent content validity verification and pilot testing, resulting in the final delinquency prevention education curriculum. The effectiveness of the program was validated using data collected from an experimental group of 20 participants and a control group of 20 participants, excluding cases of mid-term withdrawal or those with more than 50% absenteeism among the 12-13-year-old early youths who received the attendance order. The research findings are as follows. Firstly, the early youths who participated in the delinquency prevention education showed an increase in positive emotions and a decrease in negative emotions. Additionally, their interpersonal relationship competence, career maturity, and legal consciousness all exhibited statistically significant changes. In contrast, the control group only exhibited a significant change in positive emotions. Secondly, the results of Cohen’s effect size analysis revealed significant effects across the board for the emotional state, nterpersonal relationship competence, career maturity, and legal consciousness of the early youths who participated in the delinquency prevention education. Based on these findings, practical recommendations were made for the implementation of a more substantive delinquency prevention education program targeted at early youths.

본 연구는 초기 청소년을 위한 비행예방교육을 개발하고, 그 효과를 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 비행예방교육은 선행연구분석과 교육 요구도 조사를 바탕으로 초안을 개발했으며, 내용타당도 검 증과 시범교육을 거쳐 최종 완성하였다. 비행예방교육의 효과는 수강명령을 받은 12-13세의 초기 청소년 50명을 대상으로 검증하였는데, 교육을 중도포기하거나 50%이상 결석한 사례를 제외한 실 험집단 20명, 통제집단 20명의 데이터를 최종 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비행예 방교육에 참여한 초기 청소년의 정적정서가 증가하였고, 부적정서는 감소하였다. 또한 대인관계능 력, 진로성숙도, 법의식이 모두 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 변화했다. 반면 통제집단은 정적정서 만 유의한 차이가 있었고, 부적정서, 대인관계능력, 진로성숙도, 법의식은 차이가 없었다. 둘째, Cohen의 효과크기 검정을 실시한 결과, 비행예방교육에 참여한 초기 청소년의 정서, 대인관계능 력, 진로성숙도, 법의식 전체에 유의미한 효과가 확인되었다. 이를 바탕으로 효과적인 초기 청소년 대상 비행예방교육의 개발과 운영을 위한 제언을 하였다.
