With the development of digital imaging technology, it has become possible to realize places and characters that were previously difficult to realize into images. In addition, because of the convenience of reducing shooting time and production cost, digital imaging technology is frequently used in video media such as movies and dramas. Chroma key and motion capture are now common, and actors are placed in an unfamiliar environment where they have to interact with virtual objects in front of a blue screen. In a situation where filming methods using digital imaging technology are becoming more common, actors who are not familiar with digital acting techniques have no choice but to experience difficulties at the filming site. Unfortunately, however, there is no training method or education system for digital acting in Korea yet. Therefore, this researcher thinks that it is necessary to study practical training methods for digital acting. Here, the researcher's digital acting means that actors use computer graphic technology to simulate an imaginary space and express it as if the space or object exists. Although studies on digital acting have been conducted by some researchers, studies on practical methods have not been dealt with in depth, only arguing the necessity of digital acting training. Now, practical and in-depth research on digital acting training methods is needed. Accordingly, this researcher sought an acting training method for digital acting based on ‘behavioral acting technique’ of Theater Compay Dong and ‘acting technique of tricking the brain’ of Kang, Lyang-won and suggested the possibility. ‘Behavioral acting technique’ and ‘acting technique that tricks the brain’ are effective acting techniques for digital acting that requires imagining and interacting with virtual objects. This study has significance in recognizing the necessity of acting training methods for digital acting and providing an opportunity to seek practical training methods.

디지털 영상기술의 발전으로 이전에는 구현하기 힘들었던 장소와 캐릭터가 영상으로 구현되는 것이 가능해졌다. 그리고 촬영 시간과 제작비용의 절감이라는 편리성 때문에 영화나 드라마 등 영상매체에서 디지털 영상기술이 빈번하게 사용되고 있다. 이제 크로마키나 모션캡처 촬영이 일반화되었으며 배우들은 블루스크린 앞에서 가상의 대상과 교감해야 하는 생소한 환경에 놓이게 되었다. 이렇게 디지털 영상기술을 사용하는 촬영방식이 일반화되어가고 있는 상황에서 디지털 연기 기술에 익숙하지 않은 연기자는 촬영 현장에서 어려움을 겪을 수밖에 없다. 하지만 안타깝게도 아직 우리나라에는 디지털 연기를 위한 훈련법이나 교육시스템이 마련되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구자는 디지털 연기를 위한 실질적 훈련 방법의 연구가 필요하다고 생각한다. 여기서 본 연구자가 말하는 디지털 연기란 컴퓨터 그래픽 기술을 이용하여 배우들이 상상의 공간을 가상해서 마치 그 공간이나 물체가 존재하는 것처럼 표현하는 것을 뜻한다. 몇몇 연구자를 통해 디지털 연기에 관한 연구가 이루어지긴 했지만, 디지털 연기훈련의 필요성을 주장할 뿐 실질적인 방법에 관한 연구가 심도 있게 다루어지지는 않았다. 이제 디지털 연기훈련 방법에 대한 실질적이고 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구자는 극단 동의 ‘행동연기기술’과 강량원의 ‘뇌를 속이는 연기 기술’을 기반으로 디지털 연기를 위한 연기훈련 방법을 모색하고 그 가능성을 제시했다. ‘행동연기기술’과 ‘뇌를 속이는 연기 기술’은 가상의 대상을 상상하고 교감해야 하는 디지털 연기에 효과적인 연기 기술이다. 본 연구는 디지털 연기를 위한 연기 훈련법의 필요성에 대해 인식하고 실질적인 훈련 방법을 모색하는 계기를 마련하는 것에 의의가 있다.
