To make accurate and effective biblical sermons, it is crucial to establish a connection between the biblical text and the modern audience. Although the terminology may vary, this process is generally understood as the harmonization of principilization and contextualization, which involves finding the intended meaning of the author and applying its relevance to the contemporary audience. This paper focuses on the theological process that includes principilization and contextualization to appropriately connect the past text with the modern audience, with particular emphasis on the harmony and integration of textuality and canonicity and their influence on the sermon-writing process. To accomplish this, the paper first examines the meaning of textuality and canonicity as integral aspects of God’s comprehensive communicative act, and then sequentially traces the developmental discussions of significant hermeneutical and homiletical models concerning the two facets of principilization and contextualization in the theological process. While acknowledging the necessity of principilization and contextualization based on the meaning-significance model in this theological process, it highlights the importance of integrating textuality and canonicity from the perspective of their unity as part of God’s communicative act. Finally, it presents the homiletical implications of the theological process with a focus on the integration of textuality and canonicity.

바르고 적실한 성경적 설교를 위해서는 성경 본문과 현대 청중을 연 결하는 과정이 매우 중요하다. 비록 명칭은 다양하지만, 일반적으로 저 자가 의도한 의미를 찾아 설명하며 오늘날 청중을 향한 의의를 적용하 는 과정으로 원리화(principlization)와 상황화(contextualization)의 과정 으로 이해된다. 이 논문은 과거 본문과 현대 청중 사이를 정당하게 연결 하기 위한 원리화와 상황화를 포함하는 신학화 과정 가운데, 특별히 본 문성(textuality)과 정경성(canonicity)의 조화와 통합의 중요성을 강조하 면서 그것이 설교 작성의 과정에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 집중한다. 이를 위해 이 논문은 우선 하나님의 총체적 소통행위로서 본문성과 정경성의 의미를 살펴보고, 다음으로 신학화 과정에서 진행하는 원리화 와 상황화의 두 측면에 대한 주요 해석학자들과 설교학자들의 발전적 논 의를 순차적으로 추적한다. 이 신학화 과정에서 의미-의의(meaningsignificance) 모델에 입각한 원리화와 상황화의 필요성은 인정하되, 이 과정이 하나님의 소통행위로서 본문성과 정경성의 통합의 관점에서 이루어져야 할 것을 강조한다. 마지막으로 본문성과 정경성의 통합에 초 점을 둔 신학화 과정이 지닌 설교학적 함의들을 제시한다.
